Introducing “Univision Contigo”

Nov 25, 2013

Today we launched Univision Contigo (Univision With You), an initiative that expands the Company’s investment and partnership efforts to serve and empower the 55 million Hispanics in the United States.   Building on the Company’s 50 year relationship of service and engagement with the Hispanic community, “Univision Contigo” will further enhance and focus our efforts in four key areas —EducationHealthProsperity and Participation.

Under “Univision Contigo,” the key priorities of Univision’s community empowerment efforts will be unified and managed under one umbrella in order to make an even more meaningful impact. The initiative also brings together a vast array of partners and resources working toward our goal of informing, empowering and helping Hispanics take actions to improve their lives as well as their contributions to our country.

We are especially proud of our partnerships with organizations that also have as a priority the welfare and empowerment of the Hispanic community.  A recent partnership that we’re particularly proud of is Too Small to Fail, a joint initiative with Next Generation and the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation. The organization helps parents, caregivers, communities and businesses take meaningful, evidence-based actions that will improve the health and well-being of America’s youngest children, ages zero to five.   They join important and ongoing partners supporting “Univision Contigo” that include The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation,  League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), National Council of La Raza (NCLR), National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital  along with over a dozen other organizations.   Our partners are crucial to delivering an even bigger impact in our efforts to boost educational attainment, increase civic engagement, improve financial literacy and entrepreneurship, and raise health and wellness for Hispanic in the U.S.

We are excited about the launch of “Univision Contigo” as it clearly expresses our long lasting commitment to stand side by side with the Hispanic community and inform and empower them to succeed on the opportunities most important to them. To learn more, visit UnivisionContigo.com.
