With a Focus on In-depth Reporting, "Aquí y Ahora" Delivers Ratings Success

At Univision News, we have a continued commitment to delivering the in-depth reporting and quality journalism that our audience expects from us. Our goal is to inform, engage and empower our community with the content that matters to them most, and our hard work is paying off. Aquí y Ahora, our primetime newsmagazine, is a great example.

During the March 1st telecast, Aquí y Ahora delivered an average audience of over 1 million viewers in the key Adults 18-49 demographic for the sixth time this season. The broadcast was also the program’s highest-rated telecast among Total Viewers 2+, second-highest among Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54, and the third-highest among Adults 18-34 in the current 2014/2015 season. In fact, Aquí y Ahora on March 1st delivered more Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 than NBC’s “Dateline”, and the newsmagazine grew week-to-week among Adults 18-49 (+12% to 1.2 million), Adults 18-34 (+16% to 482,000), Adults 25-54 (+4% to 1.2 million) and Total Viewers 2+ (+3% to 2.4 million). During the previous week’s telecast, February, 22, 2015, Aquí y Ahora delivered more Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, regardless of language, than CBS’ “60 Minutes.”

This is a testament to how in-depth journalism and fresh, relevant content engages audiences. These results also reinforce our commitment to producing best-in-class journalism that meets our community’s needs and expectations.
