Univision’s Premios Juventud nominees list was revealed today (May 21). Top nominees include Maluma, with eight, Bad Bunny (seven), Daddy Yankee (seven), Anuel AA (six), Becky G (six), J Balvin (six), Karol G (six), and Ozuna (five).
Univision also announced that boy band CNCO, Argentine artist Lali and Alejandra Espinosa will be hosting the three-hour show, which is set to air live on Thursday, July 18 from Watsco Center in Miami.
“It’s very exciting,” Lali tells Billboard about being a host. “For me, it is really important to showcase what I do in other parts of the world.”
Premios Juventud aims to inspire, motivate and empower Latino youth to become leaders for change. The awards celebrate the current trends in pop culture, music, digital, fashion, television and social media.
Categories and nominees were determined in each area through a partnership with industry experts such as for Music (Uforia, Univision Radio), for Video (recognized choreographers and production professionals), for Digital (Univision.com and Univision Creator Network), and for Fashion (Trendy Group).
