Univision and TED, the nonprofit devoted to ideas worth spreading, have joined forces to launch TED en Español, a podcast that will make Spanish-language TED Talks available for free in audio form. The podcast launches April 26 and will be hosted by Gerry Garbulsky, curator of TED’s broader initiative to reach Spanish-speaking audiences, and organizer of the largest TEDx event in the world, TEDxRíodelaPlata in Argentina. The first podcast will premiere at a TED en Español en NYC event in New York City on April 26.
“Univision is enthusiastic about the collaboration with TED to better serve and empower our community by giving them access to the ideas that are shaping the world, en nuestro idioma, in our language,” said John Buergler, senior vice president, Growth Initiatives for UCI. “Bringing exceptional Spanish-language content to our Uforia platform is one more illustration of the power and scale of our expanding audio strategy.”
