Univision’s UCI Live has tapped Sportsrocket to live stream the inaugural Prospects Cup, a landmark U12 football event taking place in December 2017.

In addition, Sportsrocket’s proprietary digital platform will provide extensive media distribution for Univision’s in-house experiential marketing unit, including tournament highlights and social video creation.

“The Prospects Cup is a tremendous new youth soccer event that UCI Live is introducing later this year, and everyone at Sportsrocket is honoured and excited to be working with them to make their digital video strategy a reality,” said Brian Bedol, Sportsrocket founder and CEO. “In addition to streaming every match, we look forward to providing fans of this prestigious event with the ability to follow it closely, at any time, on any platform or device.”

The soccer tournament will feature eight US teams and eight clubs from around the globe. So far, MLS clubs FC Dallas, LA Galaxy and Orlando City Soccer, and youth soccer teams Pachuca Tuzos Academy, Real Jersey FC, Weston Soccer Club, Sockers FC and Global Premier Soccer have accepted the invitation. Among the confirmed international teams are Italy’s AS Roma, Mexico’s Deportivo Guadalajara and Club de Fútbol América, and Premier League’s Manchester City.

“UCI Live is always looking for new and creative ways to deliver a captivating 360-experience to our soccer fans. As an innovative industry leader in their field, we are confident that Sportsrocket will enhance and elevate viewership of the inaugural Prospects Cup in the US and around the world,” pointed out Rick Alessandri, EVP of enterprise development at Univision Communications.
