Despite not having reached its conclusion, the CONCACAF Gold Cup has reached almost 20 million viewers on Univision, while Telemundo’s coverage FIFA Confederations Cup reached 16 million Spanish-speakers.

According to Univision, the Gold Cup has out-delivered the Spanish-language broadcast of the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup by 19% with total viewers 2+ and by 21% with adults 18-49.

Presentation of the group stage matches positioned UDN as the No 2 sports network in prime time for July to date. Additionally, UDN ended the first half of 2017 as the No 4 sports network in prime time among adults 18-49, ahead of FS1, NFL Network, MLB Network and NBA TV.

The Gold Cup’s quarter-finals end today (21 July) with the Jamaica vs. Canada and Mexico vs. Honduras games. The winners will face the US and Costa Rica’s national teams.

According to local figures from Univision, the three Mexican games played so far have been among the most watched content in Los Angeles, Houston, Miami, San Francisco, Phoenix and Sacramento.
