Univision Deportes has, for the first time, broadcast a Spanish-language simulcast of Red Bull Rampage, the premier event in free-ride mountain biking.

The event series, now in its 10th season, aired in Spanish on streaming platform alongside Red Bull’s English-language version on Red Bull TV, on 16 October.

Commentator Pierre Scholz will cover Univision Deportes’ digital simulcast of the competition and will be providing the play-by-play of this year’s finals. Scholz has over 15 years of experience working in the sports industry in Latin America, and has hosted multiple action sports events.

The mountain bike event – presented by GoPro and supported by Polaris RZR, Pennzoil Synthetics, Samsung Milk Video and the Utah Sports Commission – draws slope-style riders, downhill racers and free-riders together in one test of all-round bike skill on near-vertical ridges near Virgin, Utah.

A social TV strategy has been deployed using the #Rampage hashtag, @RedBullBike and @UnivisionSports on Twitter, @RedBullSLC on Instagram.
