Leonardo Ruiz has been named vp and gm of Univision’s Salt Lake City station KUTH.

Ruiz will stay on as gm of KABE-KBTF-KUVI in Bakersfield, Calif.

“Since joining Univision Bakersfield in 2013, Leonardo has played an integral role in elevating our stations in that market,” said Lee Davis, evp of Univision Local Media. “His industry experience and leadership in station operations and sales have been an asset to our teams and I have no doubt that with Leonardo as general manager, our station in Salt Lake City will be positioned for growth.”

Ruiz has worked at Univision since 2007. Before being named gm of the Bakersfield stations in 2013, he was national account manager for Univision’s KMEX and KFTR.
