Univision Communications today named Laraine “Rainey” Mancini SVP finance-head of investor relations, effective immediately. She is based in New York and reports to Francisco J. Lopez-Balboa, chief financial officer.
“Rainey is a seasoned professional and brings a wide-ranging skillset to Univision, from her hands-on investor relations and business development experience, to her nearly 10 years of practice as an equity research analyst covering the media industry,” said Lopez-Balboa. “Rainey’s strong financial acumen, along with her in-depth understanding of the equity and debt capital markets, excellent communication and investment analysis skills and well-established relationships with investors and analysts will be very valuable as we embark on the next chapter for our company.”
Mancini was previously VP, corporate strategy and business development and VP, investor relations at Time Warner Cable.
Before joining Time Warner Cable, she was an equity research analyst covering the media industry for nearly 10 years, serving as VP and lead equity research analyst for the broadcast sector at Merrill Lynch and as an equity research associate at Lehman Brothers and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette before that.
Mancini graduated from the University of Vermont with a BA in economics and received her MBA from New York University.
