The series will celebrate the Hispanic identity through the cultural lens of Reggaeton
MIAMI – November 1, 2022 – TelevisaUnivision, the world’s leading Spanish-language content and media company, and New ProdCo Marciano Media Group (MMG) have partnered to bring the upper-preschool animated series REGGAETOONS to ViX, the free ad-supported streaming service designed for the Spanish-speaking world.
In REGGAETOONS, a gleeful magical jungle creature unlocks the musical talents of three unlikely eight-year-old kids who gradually bond as friends through music while cooperating to protect their magical pal and the jungle he comes from. Set in a fictional hybrid of Puerto Rico and Colombia, the series celebrates the Hispanic identity through the cultural lens of Reggaeton music.

With the addition of REGGAETOONS, we’re doubling down on our commitment to offering in-language, in-culture entertaining content for kids of all ages and the whole family,” said Bilai Joa Silar, senior vice president of OTT Content at TelevisaUnivision.

That is what we aim to do with REGGAETOONS, redefine the kid’s music genre with empowering and aspirational values.” said Kevin Marciano, founder of MMG and former producer at ZAG on series such as “Miraculous,” “Power Players,” and “Zak Storm.”
Executive producing and curating all music for the project is Fabio Acosta and his management company Vibras Lab, which represents artists such as J Balvin, Karol G, Sky Rompiendo and many more. Acosta has been named Billboard Top 100 Latin Power Player year after year because of his impact on the genre and music industry. “When we were approached about REGGAETOONS, I knew we had to do it. To be able to create Reggaeton music that kids and parents can watch, listen to, dance to, and be inspired by is an exciting opportunity for us,” said Fabio Acosta.
Producing alongside Marciano and Acosta are Stephen Davis (Transformers, Power Rangers) and Will Davis (Astronauts) through their production banner, Still Pictures.

La serie celebrará la identidad hispana bajo el lente cultural del reggaetón
MIAMI — 1 de noviembre – TelevisaUnivision, la compañía de medios y contenido en español líder en el mundo, y New ProdCo Marciano Media Group (MMG) se han asociado a fin de llevar la serie animada REGGAETOONS para niños en edad preescolar a ViX, el servicio gratuito de streaming con publicidad diseñado para el mundo hispanohablante.
En REGGAETOONS, una alegre y mágica criatura de la selva da rienda suelta al talento musical de tres niños de ocho años quienes, poco a poco, se hacen amigos por medio de la música mientras cooperan para proteger a su amigo mágico y la jungla de la que proviene. Ambientada en una versión ficticia e híbrida de Puerto Rico y Colombia, la serie celebra la identidad hispana bajo el lente cultural del reggaetón.

Acosta fue designado Top 100 Latin Power Player de Billboard año tras año debido a su impacto en el género y el sector musical. “Cuando nos contactaron sobre REGGAETOONS, supe que tenía que hacerlo. El poder crear música de reggaetón que niños y padres pueden ver, escuchar, bailar y que los inspire en una oportunidad emocionante para nosotros”, dijo Fabio Acosta.
