Sting’s Performance of “Por Su Amor” Will Air During the 34th Edition of “Premio Lo Nuestro” on February 24
MIAMI – FEBRUARY 11, 2022 – The iconic rockstar Sting, one of the world’s most distinctive artists and 17-time GRAMMY Award winner, will premiere his new Spanish-language single during Univision’s “Premio Lo Nuestro” broadcast. Sting’s performance of “Por Su Amor,” the Spanish-language adaptation of his song “For Her Love” off his latest album “The Bridge,” will air on the 34th edition of Latin music’s longest-running awards show in the world on February 24. “Premio Lo Nuestro” coverage begins with the pre-show “Noche de Estrellas” at 7 p.m./6 CT on Univision.
Sting has a long tradition of singing in various languages including his celebrated EP, “Nada Como el Sol” – released in 1987 – which featured songs performed in Spanish and Portuguese. Inspired by the breathtaking Baja, California vistas and expansive blue of the Gulf of California, Sting recorded “Por Su Amor” on a recent visit to Cabo San Lucas, México. The Spanish lyrics were written by GRAMMY-nominated musician/ songwriter/producer Martin Kierszenbaum, co-writer of “For Her Love” and co-producer of The Bridge album with Sting. “Por Su Amor” also features backing vocals by Hannah Brier with Dominic Miller on guitar and Martin Kierszenbaum on keyboards.
“Por Su Amor” was released globally today via Interscope/Cherrytree Records, and is available on all digital platforms.
“Premio Lo Nuestro,” hosted by Univision personality and actress Alejandra Espinoza, heartthrob actor Gabriel Soto, and singer and actress Yuri, will feature performances by Latin Music superstars Ángela Aguilar, Christian Nodal, CNCO, Gente de Zona, Jay Wheeler, Luis Fonsi, Natti Natasha, Olga Tañón, Prince Royce, Sebastián Yatra, and Wisin y Yandel, among others.

MIAMI –11 DE FEBRERO DE 2022– La emblemática estrella del rock Sting, uno de los artistas más singulares y ganador de 17 premios GRAMMY, estrenará su nuevo sencillo en español durante la trasmisión de “Premio Lo Nuestro” por Univision. La interpretación por Sting de “Por su amor”, la adaptación al español de su canción “For Her Love” de su más reciente álbum The Bridge, se trasmitirá durante la 34.a edición del programa de premios a la música latina de más larga trayectoria en el mundo el 24 de febrero. La cobertura de “Premio Lo Nuestro” empezará con el programa de antesala “Noche de Estrellas” a las 7 p.m./6 Centro por Univision.
Sting tiene una larga tradición de cantar en diversos idiomas, como en su conocido EP “Nada como el sol” que salió en 1987 e incluye canciones en español y portugués. Inspirado en los impresionantes paisajes de Baja California y el extenso y azulado golfo de California, Sting grabó “Por su amor” durante una visita reciente a Cabo San Lucas, México. Escribió la letra en español Martín Kierszenbaum, músico/compositor/productor nominado al GRAMMY, compositor de “For Her Love” con Sting y coproductor del álbum The Bridge. “Por su amor también incluye la voz de acompañamiento de Hannah Brier, Dominic Miller en la guitarra y Martín Kierszenbaum en el teclado.
