UniMás Tops The CW for 26th Consecutive Week in the Current 2020/2021 Season Among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34
UniMás Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of March 15, 2021 to March 21, 2021
- UniMás grew its primetime audience week-over-week among Total Viewers 2+ (+6% to 586,000), Adults 18-49 (+6% to 262,000) and Adults 18-34 (+4% to 103,000). UniMás also outperformed The CW by double-to-triple digit margins during primetime for the 26th consecutive week in the current 2020/2021 season among Adults 18-49 (+50% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+106% adv.).
- UniMás’ weeknight 8 p.m. live matchmaking reality show, “Enamorándonos” delivered double-digit week-over-week audience growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+14% to 765,000), Adults 18-49 (+16% to 323,000) and Adults 18-34 (+19% to 142,000), marking its highest-rated weekly performance since its September 2020 return with Adults 18-34. The program increased its audience by double-digit margins in the last hour compared to the first hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+21%), Adults 18-49 (+20%) and Adults 18-34 (+13%).
- UniMás’ “Enamorándonos” out-delivered The CW in the Monday to Friday 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. time period by among Total Viewers 2+ (+2% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+72% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+158% adv.). UniMás also outperformed Telemundo’s 7 p.m. reality competition series, “Exatlón Estados Unidos” among Adults 18-34 (+4% adv.) for the entire week. On Tuesday night, “Enamorándonos” positioned UniMás ahead of ABC (+25% adv.) and FOX (+35% adv.) with double-digit audience advantages among Adults 18-34 during the 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. time slot. UniMás also out-delivered ABC (+39% adv.) and CBS (+6% adv.) on Wednesday night among Adults 18-34 in the 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. time period, marking the second consecutive Wednesday night UniMás topped ABC among this demographic. “Enamorándonos” also outperformed NBC (+45% adv.) and Telemundo (+28% adv.) by double-digit margins among Adults 18-34 in its time slot, marking the second straight Thursday night UniMás bested Telemundo among this demographic.
- UniMás’ weeknight 10 p.m. reality competition, “Desafío Súper Regiones” averaged week-over-week audience growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+17% to 387,000), Adults 18-49 (+15% to 199,000) and Adults 18-34 (+3% to 60,000). In fact, the program delivered its highest-rated telecast of the week among Adults 18-34 (66,000) on Tuesday night, outperforming ABC by double-digit margins (+43% adv.).
- Live coverage of the “Liga MX: Mazatlán vs. América” showdown on Friday night attracted 670,000 Total Viewers 2+, 380,000 Adults 18-49 and 143,000 Adults 18-34, marking the 2nd most-watched Liga MX soccer match currently on the UniMás network in 2021 among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. The game increased the network’s 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. time period by triple-digit margins week-over-week and year-over-year among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
- On Saturday night, UniMás out-delivered NBC (+21% adv.) and FOX (+88% adv.) by double-digit margins among Adults 18-34 with a movie line-up that included (“Cineplex: Gone in 60 Seconds” and “CineNight: Spy”). This marked the sixth consecutive Saturday night that UniMás outperformed FOX with Adults 18-34. The line-up also topped FOX (+24% adv.) with double-digit audience advantages among Adult 18-49 viewers for the entire night. The movie line-up increased the network’s 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. time period by double-digit margins week-over-week among Total Viewers 2+ (+20% to 536,000) and Adults 18-49 (+13% to 222,000).
- The 8:30 p.m. airing of “CineNight: Spy” averaged 684,000 Total Viewers 2+, 279,000 Adults 18-49 and 94,000 Adults 18-34. The movie grew the network’s 8:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. time slot by double-digit margins week-over-week among Total Viewers 2+ (+29% to 684,000) and Adults 18-49 (+11% to 279,000). The feature film also grew the network’s time period by double-digit margins versus the same night in 2020 among Total Viewers 2+ (+37% to 684,000), Adults 18-49 (+34% to 279,000) and Adults 18-34 (+15% to 94,000). The movie increased its audience in the last hour compared to the first hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+11%), Adults 18-49 (+29%) and Adults 18-34 (+9%).
- On Sunday night, UniMás outperformed Telemundo (+13% adv.) with double-digit audience advantages among Adults 18-34 with a line-up that included (“Cineplex: Transporter 2” and “CineMás: World War Z”). UniMás also bested The CW by double-to-triple digit margins among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 for the entire night. This marked the 29th consecutive Sunday night that UniMás has outperformed The CW among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 and the seventh straight Sunday night among Total Viewers 2+. The movie line-up grew the network’s 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. time period by double-digit margins week-over-week among Total Viewers 2+ (+18% to 656,000), Adults 18-49 (+24% to 324,000) and Adults 18-34 (+23% to 122,000).
- UniMás delivered 2x more Total Viewers 2+ (+158% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+220% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+203% adv.) than the combined audience of Azteca, Estrella TV and TeleXitos for the entire week during primetime.
