Sunday Night Reality Competition “Tu Cara Me Suena” Sees Week-Over-Week Increases Across Major Demos and Delivers the Series’ Highest-Rated Telecast Among Total Viewers 2+
Univision is No. 1 on Spanish-Language Television in Primetime for Eighth Consecutive Week Across All Key Demos During the Current 2020/2021 Broadcast Season
Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of November 9, 2020 to November 15, 2020
- In its premiere week, Univision’s “Vencer El Desamor” attracted 1.6 million Total Viewers 2+, 631,000 Adults 18-49 and 250,000 Adults 18-34, positioning Univision ahead of CBS in the weeknight 8 p.m. hour with Adults 18-34 (+33% adv.). “Vencer El Desamor” also made Univision the No. 1 Spanish-language network in the Monday through Friday 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. time slot with triple-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+128% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+155% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+221% adv.).
- For the entire week, Univision finished as the fifth most-watched broadcast network during primetime, outperforming The CW with 1.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 452,000 Adults 18-49 and 175,000 Adults 18-34.
- Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on six out of seven nights last week among Adults 18-34.
- Univision ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network in primetime for the eighth consecutive week in the current 2020/2021 season, out-delivering Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+25% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+20% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+22% adv.).
- “Imperio de Mentiras” averaged 1.3 million Total Viewers 2+, 502,000 Adults 18-49 and 196,000 Adults 18-34. The novela positioned Univision ahead of Telemundo’s “Todo Por Mi Hija” during the weeknight 9 p.m. hour with double-digit advantages among Adults 18-34 (+33% adv.).
- Univision’s “Dulce Ambición” delivered 1.0 million Total Viewers 2+, 403,000 Adults 18-49 and 146,000 Adults 18-34. The novela outperformed Telemundo’s “Falsa Identidad II” during the weeknight 10 p.m. hour with double-digit advantages among Total Viewers 2+ (+28% adv.) and Adults 18-49 (+24% adv.).
- On Sunday night, Univision delivered week-to-week audience growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+17% to 1.4 million), Adults 18-49 (+9% to 450,000) and Adults 18-34 (+5% to 173,000) and ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network for the entire night, outperforming Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+54% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+8% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+21% adv.). This marked the eighth, second and fifth consecutive Sunday night that Univision outperformed Telemundo in the current 2020/2021 season with Total Viewers2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, respectively.
- The fourth telecast of “Tu Cara Me Suena” averaged more Total Viewers 2+ (+20% to 1.5 million), Adults 18-49 (+15% to 494,000) and Adults 18-34 (+4% to 184,000) compared to the previous telecast, marking its highest-rated telecast thus far among Total Viewers 2+. The reality series also positioned Univision ahead of Telemundo in the 8:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. time slot among Total Viewers 2+ (+56% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+9% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+20% adv.).
- “Sal y Pimienta” delivered double-digit week-to-week audience growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+17% to 1.2 million), Adults 18-49 (+21% to 427,000) and Adults 18-34 (+45% to 199,000), marking its highest-rated telecast in the current 2020/2021 season. The entertainment news magazine propelled Univision to outperform Telemundo in the 10:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. time slot by double-digit margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+60% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+17% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+34% adv.).
