UniMás Kicks Off 2020/2021 Season With Double-Digit Year-Over-Year Primetime Audience Growth Across All Key Demos

“Enamorándonos” Continues Its Momentum, Increases Time Period By Double-Digit Margins Among All Key Demos, Tops The CW By Double-To-Triple Digits Among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34

UniMás Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of September 21, 2020 to September 27, 2020

  • In the first week of the 2020/2021 season, UniMás delivered double-digit primetime audience growth week-over-week among Adults 18-49 (+10% to 194,000). UniMás also grew its primetime audience by double-digits year-over-year among Total Viewers 2+ (+55% to 443,000), Adults 18-49 (+49% to 194,000) and Adults 18-34 (+39% to 75,000), marking the second consecutive week of double-digit audience growth. UniMás outperformed The CW by double-digits during primetime among Adults 18-49 (+53% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+88% adv.), marking the 36th and 41st consecutive week that it has topped The CW with Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, respectively.
  • UniMás’ weeknight 8 p.m. reality series, “Enamorándonos” increased its audience by double-digits week-over-week among Total Viewers 2+ (+14% to 490,000), Adults 18-49 (+24% to 204,000) and Adults 18-34 (+48% to 90,000), marking the series’ second consecutive week of double-digit audience gains. Versus the prior four weeks average, the program delivered double-digit audience growth to the network’s Monday to Thursday 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. time period among Total Viewers 2+ (+56%), Adults 18-49 (+41%) and Adults 18-34 (+67%). The reality series also delivered double-digit audience growth to the time slot year-over-year among Total Viewers 2+ (+84%), Adults 18-49 (+73%) and Adults 18-34 (+91%). UniMás’ “Enamorándonos” bested The CW in the Monday to Thursday 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. time period with double-to-triple digit audience advantages among Adults 18-49 (+44% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+100% adv.).
  • In its final week, UniMás’ weeknight 10 p.m. reality competition series, “Guerreros” attracted 267,000 Total Viewers 2+, 130,000 Adults 18-49 and 57,000 Adults 18-34. The series increased its Adult 18-49 audience week-over-week by +8%. Compared to the prior four weeks average, the series delivered double-digit audience growth to the network’s Monday to Thursday 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. time period among Total Viewers 2+ (+41%), Adults 18-49 (+54%) and Adults 18-34 (+49%). The program also increased the network’s Monday to Thursday 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. time slot year-over-year by double-to-triple digits among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
  • UniMás’ Friday night movie presentation, “Cineplex: Unknown” averaged 323,000 Total Viewers 2+, 176,000 Adults 18-49 and 55,000 Adults 18-34. The movie increased its audience throughout its airing with double-digit gains in the last hour compared to the first hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+27%), Adults 18-49 (+40%) and Adults 18-34 (+59%). The film delivered double-to-triple digit audience growth to the network’s Friday 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. time slot week-over-week among Total Viewers 2+ (+53%), Adults 18-49 (+112%) and Adults 18-34 (+38%). The movie also grew the time period year-over-year among Total Viewers 2+ (+19%), Adults 18-49 (+42%) and Adults 18-34 (+2%). UniMás topped The CW in the Friday 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. time period with double-digit audience advantages among Adults 18-49 (+39% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+53% adv.).
  • On Saturday night, UniMás bested Telemundo by double-digit margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+20% adv.) with a movie line-up that included (“CineNight: Shooter” and “CineNight: The Last Castle”). The line-up increased the network’s 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. time slot by double-digits week-over-week among Total Viewers 2+ (+34% to 584,000) and Adults 18-49 (+24% to 212,000). The movie line-up also delivered double-digit audience growth to the time period year-over-year among Total Viewers 2+ (+31% to 584,000).
  • On Sunday night, UniMás out-delivered The CW by triple-digit margins among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 and by +2% among Total Viewers 2+ with a movie line-up that included (“Cineplex: Maze Runner 2: The Scorch Trials” and “CineMás: Surrogates”). This marks the fourth consecutive Sunday night that UniMás has outperformed The CW among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. The line-up delivered audience growth to the network’s 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. time period year-over-year among Total Viewers 2+ (+38% to 458,000), Adults 18-49 (+30% to 210,000) and Adults 18-34 (+4% to 83,000).
  • UniMás out-delivered the combined audience of Azteca, Estrella TV and TeleXitos for the entire week during primetime with double-to-triple digit audience advantages among Total Viewers 2+ (+93% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+177% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+134% adv.).
