Univision Delivers Year-Over-Year Primetime Audience Growth Among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34

Live Soccer Coverage and Hit Reality Competition Series “¿Quién Es la Máscara?” Propels Univision To Victory Over CBS on Saturday Night and Versus ABC on Sunday Night with Adult 18 to 49 and Adult to 18-34 Viewers 

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of September 7, 2020 to September 13, 2020 

  • For the entire week, Univision delivered year-over-year primetime audience growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+10% to 1.3 million), Adults 18-49 (+5% to 523,000) and Adults 18-34 (+10% to 226,000). 
  • Univision ranked as the third most-watched broadcast network in primetime for the entire week, out-delivering ABC, CBS and The CW with 226,000 Adults 18-34 as well as the fifth largest broadcast network, ahead of The CW with 523,000 Adults 18-49 and 1.3 million Total Viewers 2+. 
  • For the sixth consecutive week, Univision outperformed one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on every night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. 
  • Univision captured the No. 1 Spanish-language network ranking during primetime for the forty-second consecutive week with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+20% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+27% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+39% adv). 
  • For the second consecutive week, “Médicos, Línea de Vida” delivered week-over-week audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+2% to 1.5 million), Adults 18-49 (+4% to 610,000) and Adults 18-34 (+5% to 273,000) and positioned Univision as the No. 2 broadcast network, outperforming ABC, CBS, FOX and The CW in the weeknight 9 p.m. hour with Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. The medical drama also averaged more Total Viewers 2+ (+6% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+31% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+60%) than Telemundo’s “Todo Por Mi Hija.” 
  • Airing weeknights at 10 p.m., “Dulce Ambicion” attracted 1.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 491,000 Adults 18-49 and 192,000 Adults 18-34 and made Univision a top-rated broadcast network, ahead of ABS and CBS with Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. The series also out-delivered Telemundo’s “Enemigo Intimo II” by double-digits among Total Viewers 2+ (+48% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+42% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+39% adv.). 
  • For the third consecutive Saturday night, Univision outperformed CBS for the entire night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 with live coverage of Liga MX. The back-to-back soccer matchups of Tigres UANL vs. Santos Laguna and America vs. Toluca delivered an average audience of 789,000 Total Viewers 2+, 365,000 Adults 18-49 and 142,000 Adults 18-34. America vs. Toluca ranked among the top five most-watched program on broadcast television among Adults 18-49 (460,000) and Adults 18-34 (168,000) while also propelled Univision to the No. 1 Spanish-language network ranking in the Saturday 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. time slot with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+40% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+57% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+32% adv.). 
  • On Sunday night, “¿Quién Es la Máscara?” averaged its second highest audience levels with week-over-week audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+6% to 1.7 million), Adults 18-49 (+14% to 618,000) and Adults 18-34 (+30% to 254,000) and positioned Univision ahead of ABC and The CW in the 8:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. time slot as well as for the entire night with Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. The reality competition series also drove Univision to a first-place finish on Spanish-language television for the entire night with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+47% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+31% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+30% adv.).
