UniMás Outperforms The CW for the 28th Straight Week in Primetime Among Adults 18-49

UniMás Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of July 27, 2020 to August 2, 2020

  • UniMás averaged 336,000 Total Viewers 2+, 161,000 Adults 18-49 and 58,000 Adults 18-34 for the entire week during primetime. UniMás also out-delivered The CW during primetime among Adults 18-49 (+7% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+14% adv.), marking the 28th and 33rd consecutive week that it has outperformed The CW with Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, respectively.
  • Driven by the “Liga MX: Pachuca vs América” soccer match, UniMás topped ABC (+75% adv.) and The CW (+6% adv.) on Monday night with Adult 18-34 viewers. The showdown between Pachuca and América delivered 491,000 Total Viewers 2+, 269,000 Adults 18-49 and 109,000 Adults 18-34. The game increased the network’s 9:00 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. time period by double-digit margins week-over-week among Total Viewers 2+ (+74%) Adults 18-49 (+86%) and Adults 18-34 (+36%). The soccer match also delivered double-to-triple digit audience growth to the time slot versus the same night last year among Total Viewers 2+ (+36%), Adults 18-49 (+95%) and Adults 18-34 (+148%).
  • UniMás’ Friday night movie presentation, “Cineplex: Wrath of the Titans” attracted 191,000 Total Viewers 2+, 80,000 Adults 18-49 and 23,000 Adults 18-34. The movie delivered double-digit audience growth to the network’s Friday 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. time slot week-over-week among Total Viewers 2+ (+42%), Adults 18-49 (+12%) and Adults 18-34 (+47%). The movie also increased the time period by double-digits year-over-year among Total Viewers 2+ (+27%), Adults 18-49 (+67%) and Adults 18-34 (+47%).
  • On Saturday night, UniMás out-delivered the combined audience of Azteca, Estrella TV and TeleXitos by triple-digit margins across all key demos with the movie line-up (“CineNight: The Warrior’s Way” and “Cineplex: Shaolin Soccer”). The line-up also increased the network’s 8:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. time period by double-digits year-over-year among Total Viewers 2+ (+44% to 464,000) and Adults 18-49 (+46% to 186,000).
  • On Sunday night, UniMás outperformed The CW by double-to-triple digit margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+61% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+131% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+48% adv.) with a movie line-up that included (“Cineplex: The Last Witch Hunter” and “CineMás: Cradle 2 the Grave”). This also marked the 11th consecutive Sunday night that UniMás has out-delivered The CW among Total Viewers 2+ and the 34th consecutive Sunday night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
  • In the July 2020 sweep, UniMás delivered 396,000 Total Viewers 2+, 190,000 Adults 18-49 and 79,000 Adults 18-34. UniMás also increased its Adult 18-34 primetime audience by +4% versus the July 2019 sweep. The UniMás network out-delivered The CW by double-digit margins during primetime among Adults 18-49 (+28% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+88% adv.) during the July 2020 sweep. UniMás also out-delivered CBS on every Saturday night during the July 2020 sweep with double-to-triple digit audience advantages among Adults 18-34. It also outperformed Telemundo by double-digit margins on Sunday nights among Adults 18-49 (+19% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+45% adv.).
  • UniMás out-delivered the combined audience of Azteca, Estrella TV and TeleXitos for the entire week during primetime with double-digit audience advantages among Total Viewers 2+ (+17% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+68% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+61% adv.).
