UniMás Out-Delivers Telemundo By Double-Digit Margins on Sunday Night Among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34
UniMás Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of May 18, 2020 to May 24, 2020
- In the full 2019/2020 broadcast season, UniMás finished ahead of The CW among Adults 18-49 (+3% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+17% adv.) and delivered double-digit audience growth during primetime versus the prior broadcast season among Total Viewers 2+ (+40% to 508,000), Adults 18-49 (+46% to 245,000) and Adults 18-34 (+40% to 102,000).
- On Saturday night, UniMás out-delivered ABC (+25% adv.), CBS (+51% adv.) and FOX (+74% adv.) by double-digit margins among Adults 18-34 with a movie line-up that included (“Cineplex: The Last Stand” and CineNight: Into the Blue”). UniMás also outperformed CBS (+19% adv.), FOX (+83% adv.) and Telemundo (+8% adv.) among Adults 18-49 and out-delivered FOX by double-digit margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+18% adv.) for the entire night. This also marked the fifth consecutive Saturday that UniMás has out-delivered ABC and FOX among Adults 18-34. The movie line-up increased the network’s 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. time period by double-digit margins year-over-year among Total Viewers 2+ (+85% to 616,000), Adults 18-49 (+89% to 278,000) and Adults 18-34 (+78% to 96,000).
- On Sunday night, UniMás outperformed NBC, The CW and Telemundo by double-to-triple digit margins among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 with a movie line-up that included (“CineMás: Rambo” and “CineMás: SEAL Team 8: Behind Enemy Lines”). UniMás also out-delivered The CW (+45% adv.) and Telemundo (+21% adv.) by double-digits among Total Viewers 2+ for the entire night. This marks the 24th consecutive Sunday that UniMás has outperformed The CW among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. The movie line-up increased the network’s 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. time slot by double-digit margins week-over-week among Total Viewers 2+ (+13% to 665,000) and Adults 18-49 (+12% to 334,000). The line-up also delivered double-digit audience growth year-over-year to the time period among Total Viewers 2+ (+11%) and Adults 18-49 (+35%).
- UniMás delivered double-digit audience growth year-over-year during primetime among Total Viewers 2+ (+11% to 437,000), Adults 18-49 (+48% to 214,000) and Adults 18-34 (+36% to 76,000), marking the 31st consecutive week of audience growth.
- UniMás outperformed The CW for the entire week by double-digits during primetime among Adults 18-49 (+14% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+38% adv.), marking the 18th and 23rd consecutive week that it has out-delivered The CW with Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, respectively.
- In the May 2020 sweeps, UniMás delivered double-digit audience growth in primetime among Total Viewers 2+ (+29% to 471,000), Adults 18-49 (+41% to 231,000) and Adults 18-34 (+48% to 92,000) versus the May 2019 sweep. The UniMás network also outperformed The CW for the second consecutive sweep in primetime by double-digit margins among Adults 18-49 (+13% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+39% adv.). During the May 2020 sweep period, UniMás out-delivered ABC and FOX on Saturday nights by double to triple-digit margins among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. It also outperformed Telemundo on Sunday nights among Adults 18-49 (+3% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+5% adv.).
- UniMás’ weeknight 8 p.m. novela series, “Qué Culpa Tiene Fatmagül” increased the network’s Monday to Friday 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. time period by double-digit margins year-over-year among Total Viewers 2+ (+46% to 447,000), Adults 18-49 (+69% to 199,000) and Adults 18-34 (+67% to 70,000).
- UniMás’ weeknight 9 p.m. adventure reality competition series, “Reto 4 Elementos: Naturaleza Extrema” delivered double-digit audience growth year-over-year to the network’s Monday to Friday 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. time period for the second consecutive week among Adults 18-49 (+22% to 165,000) and Adults 18-34 (+44% to 62,000).
- UniMás’ weeknight 10:30 p.m. newscast, “Noticiero Univision” increased the network’s Monday to Friday 10:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. time slot by double-digit margins year-over-year for the second consecutive week among Total Viewers 2+ (+39% to 215,000), Adults 18-49 (+70% to 114,000) and Adults 18-34 (+61% to 37,000).
- UniMás out-delivered the combined audience of Azteca and Estrella TV during primetime by double to triple-digit margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+99% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+210% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+192% adv.) for the entire week. UniMás also outperformed the combined audience of Azteca and Estrella TV during primetime by double to triple-digit margins in the full 2019/2020 broadcast season among all key demos.
