Univision Delivers Seventh Consecutive Week of Double-Digit Audience Growth Across All Key Demos

“Como Tú No Hay 2” Propels Univision To Win Over ABC, CBS and NBC in the 10 P.M. Hour During Premiere Week with Key Adult 18-49 and Adult 18-34 Viewers

Univision Finishes Ahead of ABC, CBS and NBC During Primetime For Entire Week Among Adults 18-34

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of April 27, 2020 to May 3, 2020

  • For the entire week, Univision ranked as the No. 2 broadcast network in primetime, out-delivering ABC, CBS, NBC, The CW and Telemundo with 253,000 Adults 18-34 and finished as the fifth most-watched broadcast network, ahead of The CW with 613,000 Adults 18-49 and 1.6 million Total Viewers 2+.
  • Univision delivered double-digit year-over-year primetime audience growth for the seventh consecutive week among Total Viewers 2+ (+18% to 1.6 million), Adults 18-49 (+17% to 613,000) and Adults 18-34 (+31% to 253,000).
  • Univision also increased its primetime audience week-over-week (+12%) while ABC (-18%), CBS (-4%), NBC (-8%), FOX (-8%), The CW (-1%) and Telemundo (-4%) all reported audience declines with the key Adult 18-49 demographic.
  • Univision outperformed one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on six out of seven nights last week among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
  • Univision ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during primetime for the twenty-third consecutive week with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+71% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+53% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+51% adv.).
  • Monday through Friday, Univision increased its primetime audience week-over-week among Total Viewers 2+ (+10% to 1.9 million), Adults 18-49 (+13% to 746,000) and Adults 18-34 (+10% to 310,000), positioning it as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during weeknight primetime with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+80% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+65% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+59% adv.).
    • At 8 p.m., “Te Doy La Vida” averaged 1.7 million Total Viewers 2+, 644,000 Adults 18-49 and 296,000 Adults 18-34 and made Univision a top-rated broadcast network with double-to-triple digit audience advantages over ABC (+13% adv.) and The CW (+225% adv.) among Adults 18-34. The series also outperformed Telemundo’s “Cennet” by +30% among Total Viewers 2+, +27% among Adults 18-49 and +32% among Adults 18-34.
    • At 9 p.m., “Amor Eterno” delivered week-over-week audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+5% to 2.1 million), Adults 18-49 (+3%to 799,000) and Adults 18-34 (+2% to 328,000) and propelled Univision to a first-place finish on broadcast television, ahead of ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and The CW with Adults 18-34. The Turkish novela also drew in two times more Adult 18-49 and Adult 18-34 viewers than the premiere week of Telemundo’s “100 Dias Para Enamorarnos.”
    • At 10 p.m., “Como Tu No Hay 2” attracted 1.8 million Total Viewers 2+, 795,000 Adults 18-49 and 305,000 Adults 18-34 during its premiere week and made Univision the No. 1 broadcast network, outperforming ABC, CBS and NBC with Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. The dramedy also averaged more Total Viewers 2+ (+56%), Adults 18-49 (+61%) and Adults 18-34 (+49%) than the debut week of its 10 p.m. predecessor and doubled the audience levels of Telemundo’s “La Reina Del Sur II Edicion Especial” across all three demographics.
  • On every single weeknight last week, Univision’s “Te Doy La Vida” “Amor Eterno” and “Como Tú No Hay 2” ranked within the top 10 programs on broadcast television, delivering more Adult 18-34 viewers than first-run episodes of ABC’s “Black-ish,” “Bless This Mess,” “For Life,” “How To Get Away With Murder,” “Mixed-ish,” “The Baker and The Beauty” and “The Conners;” CBS’ “Blue Bloods,” “Broke,” “FBI: Most Wanted,” “MacGyver,” “Man With a Plan,” “S.W.A.T.,” “Seal Team” and “Tommy;” NBC’s “Blacklist” and “Council of Dads;” FOX’s “Last Man Standing” and “Prodigal Son;” as well as The CW’s “Charmed,” “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” “Dynasty,” “Flash,” “In the Dark,” “Katy Keene,” “Riverdale” and “Roswell New Mexico.”
  • On Saturday night, Univision captured the No. 1 broadcast network ranking for the entire night, out-delivering ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX among Adults 18-34. The special airing of “Pequeños Gigantes Season 4” delivered week-over-week audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+20% to 927,000), Adults 18-49 (+47% to 327,000) and Adults 18-34 (+23% to 138,000), making it the No. 1 and No. 6 program on all of broadcast television with the key 18 to 34 and 18 to 49 demographics, respectively. The kids talent competition series also drove Univision to a first-place finish on Spanish-language television with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo during the 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. time slot among Total Viewers 2+ (+72% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+97% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+89% adv.).
