Univision Finishes Ahead of CBS, NBC and FOX During Primetime For Entire Week Among Adults 18-34

Univision’s “Amor Eterno” and “Sin Miedo a la Verdad” Garner Highest-Rated Weekly Performance in Overall Run Thus Far With Key Adult 18 to 49 and 18 to 34 Viewers

Sunday Night Movie Presentation Leads Univision to Win over NBC, FOX and Telemundo Among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of April 6, 2020 to April 12, 2020

  • For the entire week, Univision captured the No. 2 broadcast network ranking during primetime, outperforming CBS, NBC, FOX and The CW with 286,000 Adults 18-34 and ranked as the fifth most-watched broadcast network, ahead of The CW with 660,000 Adults 18-49 and 1.6 million Total Viewers 2+.
  • Univision increased its primetime audience from the comparable week in 2019 among Total Viewers 2+ (+24% to 1.6 million), Adults 18-49 (+30% to 660,000) and Adults 18-34 (+58% to 286,000), marking the fourth consecutive week of double-digit audience growth.
  • Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on six out of seven nights last week among Adults 18-34.
  • Univision finished as the No. 1 Spanish-language network in primetime for the twentieth consecutive week with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+59% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+47% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+52% adv.).
  • Monday through Friday, Univision ranked as the No. 3 broadcast network during primetime, ahead of CBS, NBC and The CW among Adults 18-34 as well as the top-rated network on Spanish-language television with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+68% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+61% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+77% adv.).
    • At 8 p.m., “Rosa de Guadalupe” delivered 1.8 million Total Viewers 2+, 756,000 Adults 18-49 and 355,000 Adults 18-34 and made Univision the No. 1 broadcast network, out-delivering ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and The CW among Adults 18-34. It also averaged more Total Viewers 2+ (+54% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+62% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+96% adv.) than the premiere week of Telemundo’s new 8pm series “Cennet.”
    • At 9 p.m., “Amor Eterno” attracted 2.1 million Total Viewers 2+ with week-over-week audience gains among Adults 18-49 (+2% to 852,000) and Adults 18-34 (+4% to 362,000), marking its highest-rated weekly performance in the Turkish novela’s overall run thus far with Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. It also positioned Univision as the No 2 broadcast network for the second consecutive week, outperforming CBS, NBC, FOX and The CW among Adults 18-34 and outperformed Telemundo’s “La Doña II” by +80% among Adults 18-49 and +84% among Adults 18-34.
    • At 10 p.m., “Sin Miedo a la Verdad” averaged its highest weekly audience levels in the series’ overall run thus far with 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 592,000 Adults 18-49 and 254,000 Adults 18-34 and drove Univision to a first-place finish on broadcast television, ahead of ABC, CBS and NBC among Adults 18-34. It also out-delivered Telemundo’s “Operacion Pacifico” with double-digit audience advantages among Total Viewers 2+ (+50% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+43% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+55% adv.).
  • On every single weeknight last week, Univision’s “Rosa de Guadalupe,” “Amor Eterno” and “Sin Miedo a la Verdad” ranked within the top 12 programs on broadcast television, delivering more Adult 18-34 viewers than first-run episodes of ABC’s “Black-ish,” “Bless This Mess,” “For Life” and “Mixed-ish;” CBS’ “Broke,” “Bull,” “Man With a Plan,” “S.W.A.T.,” “Seal Team” and “Tommy;” NBC’s “Blacklist,” “Indebted” and “Will & Grace;” FOX’s “Last Man Standing” as well as The CW’s “Charmed,” “Dynasty,” “Nancy Drew” and “Roswell New Mexico.”
  • On Sunday night, Univision finished ahead of NBC, FOX and The CW for the entire night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. The movie presentation of “Hijo de Dios” attracted 1.6 million Total Viewers 2+ and ranked within the top 10 most-watched programs on broadcast television among Adults 18-49 (651,000) and Adults 18-34 (220,000). “Hijo de Dios” also outperformed Telemundo’s entire feature film primetime line-up consisting of “Jesus de Nazareth” (+56% adv.) and “2 Fast 2 Furious” (+52% adv.) with double-digit audience advantages among the key Adult 18-49 viewers.
