“Ringo” Finale is a Knockout on Univision, Reaches 3.3 Million Total Viewers 2+

One-Hour Finale Delivers Highest-Rated Telecast During “Ringo’s” Full-Run Among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49

 

“Ringo” Propels Univision to Become the No. 1 Broadcast Station in Primetime in Los Angeles, Houston and Phoenix Among Adults 18-34, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54, Regardless of Language

 

MIAMI – MARCH 25, 2020 – The dramatic series finale of Univision’s “Ringo,” which tells the story of a retired boxer forced back into the ring to care for his son, reached 3.3 million Total Viewers 2+ who tuned in to all or part of the one-hour telecast. Airing at 8 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. CT, the finale of “Ringo” averaged 2.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 904,000 Adults 18-49 and 405,000 Adults 18-34, marking the highest-rated telecast in its full-run among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49 as well as second highest-rated with Adults 18-34, and positioned Univision ahead of ABC and FOX in the 8 p.m. hour and for the entire night among Adults 18-34.

 

Starring José Ron and Maria Torres, the series finale of “Ringo” outperformed Telemundo’s “Exatlon Estados Unidos” head-to-head in the 8 p.m. hour with double-digit audience advantages among Total Viewers 2+ (+48% advantage), Adults 18-49 (+43% advantage) and Adults 18-34 (+63% advantage). “Ringo” also drove Univision to the No. 1 Spanish-language network ranking for the entire night with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+54% advantage), Adults 18-49 (+43% advantage) and Adults 18-34 (+42% advantage). Additionally, last night’s telecast of “Ringo” ranks as the highest-rated primetime novela/series finale on Spanish-language television in the current 2019/2020 season among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

 

During its full-run, “Ringo” averaged 1.6 million Total Viewers 2+, 642,000 Adults 18-49 and 308,000 Adults 18-34 and made Univision the No. 1 Spanish-language network in the weeknight 8 p.m. hour, outperforming Telemundo across all three key demographic groups by double-digit margins. “Ringo” ranks as the highest-rated primetime novela/series in the current 2019/2020 season on Spanish-language television among Adults 18-34.

 

“Ringo’s” José Ron returns to Univision next month starring in “Te Doy la Vida,” a drama about unconditional love and blood bonds. “Te Doy la Vida” premieres Monday, April 13th (8:00 – 9:00 pm. ET/7:00 p.m. CT).
