Univision Delivers More Young Adult 18-34 Viewers in Primetime than ABC and NBC for Entire Week

- On Saturday night, the “Liga MX” match between Leon vs. UNAM propelled Univision to the No. 1 broadcast network ranking, ahead of ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX during the 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. time period among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
- The game increased the network’s 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. time slot by double-digits versus the previous Saturday among Total Viewers 2+ (+14% to 1.0 million), Adults 18-49 (+24% to 564,000) and Adults 18-34 (+40% to 246,000).
- Univision also ranked as the No. 1 broadcast network on Saturday night among Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX.
- The Univision network also averaged more Total Viewers 2+ (+19% to 941,000), Adults 18-49 (+24% to 483,000) and Adults 18-34 (+39% to 216,000) versus the previous Saturday.
- Made Univision the No. 1 Spanish-language network with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo in the time period (+46% adv.) and for the entire night (+29% adv.) among Adults 18-49.
- Univision finished as the third most-watched broadcast network among Adults 18-34 for the entire week during primetime, ahead of CBS, NBC and The CW. Univision also ranked as the fifth most-watched broadcast network during primetime among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49, ahead of The CW.
- Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on six of seven nights last week among Adults 18-34.
- Univision finished as the No. 1 Spanish-language network in primetime for the sixteenth consecutive week with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+24% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+15% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+14% adv.).
- Univision increased its weeknight primetime audience year-over-year among Total Viewers 2+ (+3% to 1.5 million) and Adults 18-34 (+16% to 264,000), while averaging 603,000 Adults 18-49. Univision also ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network for the sixteenth consecutive week in the Monday through Friday 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. time slot outperforming Telemundo with double-digit audience advantages among Total Viewers 2+ (+41% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+26% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+22% adv.).
- At 8 p.m., “Ringo” delivered audience growth to the network’s Monday through Friday 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. time slot year-over-year among Total Viewers 2+ (+5% to 1.7 million), Adults 18-49 (+8% to 626,000) and Adults 18-34 (+31% to 295,000). “Ringo” also positioned Univision ahead of NBC (+6% adv.) with Adults 18-34 in the 8 p.m. hour for the entire week. “Ringo” also drove Univision to a first-place finish on Spanish-language television, outperforming the second hour of Telemundo’s “Exatlón: Estados Unidos” by double-digit margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+23% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+14% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+28% adv.).
- At 9 p.m., Univision’s “Amor Eterno” averaged its highest-rated weekly performance and increased its audience week-over-week among Total Viewers 2+ (1.8 million). Versus the same week in 2019, the series delivered double-digit audience growth to the network’s 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. time slot among Total Viewers 2+ (+14%), Adults 18-49 (+6% to 695,000) and Adults 18-34 (+17% to 291,000). The series also drove Univision to a third-place finish on broadcast television, outperforming CBS (+19% adv.) and NBC (+12% adv.) among Adults 18-34 as well as out-delivering Telemundo’s “La Doña 2” by double-digits among Total Viewers 2+ (+79% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+50% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+28% adv.).
- At 10 p.m., the premiere week of season three of “Sin Miedo a la Verdad” delivered double-digit audience growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+20% to 1.2 million), Adults 18-49 (+24% to 493,000) and Adults 18-34 (+28% to 205,000) versus the premiere week of season one. The series also positioned Univision ahead of NBC (+6% adv.) with Adults 18-34 in the 10 p.m. hour for the entire week. The series also positioned Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-language network, out-delivering Telemundo’s “Operación Pacífico” among Total Viewers 2+ (+29% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+17% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+6% adv.).
- Univision’s weeknight series, “Ringo,” “Amor Eterno” and “Sin Miedo a la Verdad” drew in more Adults 18-34 than first-run episodes of CBS’s “All Rise,” “S.W.A.T.” and “FBI: Most Wanted;” NBC’s “Manifest,” “Will & Grace,” “Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector,” “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist” and “Indebted;” FOX”s “Last Man Standing” and “Duncanville” as well as The CW’s “The Flash,” “Riverdale,” “All American,” “Katy Keene,” “Black Lightning,” “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” “Legacies,” “Batwoman,” “Nancy Drew” and “Supergirl.”
- On Sunday night, Univision’s special news coverage of “Destino 2020: El Debate Demócrata” attracted 846,000 Total Viewers 2+, 351,000 Adults 18-49 and 159,000 Adults 18-34 and positioned Univision ahead of NBC in the 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. time period with Adults 18-34. “Destino 2020: El Debate Demócrata” also outperformed first-run episodes of NBC’s “Little Big Shots” and “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist;” FOX’s “Duncanville” and The CW’s “Batwoman” and “Supergirl” among Adult 18-34 viewers. The Univision network also grew its audience by double-digit margins versus the comparable Sunday night in 2019 among Adults 18-49 (+11%) and Adults 18-34 (+62%).
- Univision’s Sunday night news programs, “Aquí y Ahora” (+3% to 449,000) and “Crónicas” (+14% to 368,000) saw week-to-week audience growth among Adults 18-49. Both “Aquí y Ahora” (+55%) and “Crónicas” (+5%) also increased their Adult 18-49 audience versus the same day in 2019.
