Univision Stations in LA, HOU, DAL and PHX #1 in Primetime Regardless of Language Among A18-49 During Feb Sweep

Local Stations Deliver No. 1 or No. 2 Early and Late Newscasts Regardless of Language in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Houston, and Phoenix with Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54

MIAMI – MARCH 4, 2020 – Univision stations continue to ride ratings momentum in the New Year, closing the February sweep with victories versus English- and Spanish-language competition across key dayparts and local newscasts in its major markets.

KMEX Univision 34 Los Angeles has maintained its leadership position in the City of Angels. During the February sweep, KMEX bested English-language competitors ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX to become No. 1 broadcast station among Adults 18-49, Adults 25-54, Adults 18-34, and Total Viewers 2+ in primetime. The success also extended into total day, where the station finished No. 1 among Adults 18-49, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-34, and second with Total Viewers 2+. KMEX remains the preferred destination for news by Angelenos as the station delivered the No. 1 early and late newscast among Adults 18-49, Adults 25-54, Adults 18-34, and Total Viewers 2+, while its midday newscast ended the sweep No. 1 among Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54.

WXTV Univision 41 New York continued its recent ratings surge to end February sweep No. 2 in primetime and total day with the coveted Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 demos regardless of language. The station delivered the No. 1 early and late among Adults 18-34. Meanwhile, WXTV delivered more Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 than CBS, NBC, and FOX during its early and late news telecasts.

KXLN Univision 45 Houston has ended a memorable sweep period No. 1 regardless of language across several dayparts and during its news telecasts. For the sweep, the station finished first in primetime and total day among Adults 18-49, Adults 25-54, and Adults 18-34, and was No. 1 in the market among Adults 18-49, Adults 25-54, and Adults 18-34 during its early, late, and midday news telecasts.

KUVN Univision 23 Dallas heads into March following a February sweep where the station was No. 1 among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 during primetime. KUVN also delivered the No. 2 rated midday, early and late newscast among Adults 18-49.

WLTV Univision 23 Miami delivered more Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, and Adults 25-54 in both primetime and total day than ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX. The station’s news operation was tops among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 during early news, and finished No. 2 among Adults 25-54 during the time period. For midday and late, WLTV ranked in the top two among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, and Adults 25-54

KTVW Univision 33 Arizona once again leads the way in Phoenix as the station ranked No. 1 in primetime and total day among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, and Adults 25-54. In news, the station’s early and late newscasts were No. 1 among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, and Adults 25-54. Additionally, KTVW’s midday news finished first with Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, and second among Adults 25-54.

KDTV Univision 14 Bay Area early newscasts remain a top performer in the market as the station ranked No. 1 among Adults 18-49, Adults 25-54, and Adults 18-34. Meanwhile, KDTV’s late newscast is generating more Adults 18-49 viewers than ABC, CBS, and NBC, and is top three among Adults 18-34 and Adults 25-54. The station’s midday news is No. 2 among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

KUVS Univision 19 Sacramento’s midday newscast is No. 1 among the coveted Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 demos, while its early news ranks second overall among Adults 18-49, Adults 25-54, and Adults 18-34.
