Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of January 6, 2020 to January 12, 2020
- Univision delivered double-digit week-over-week primetime audience growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+15% to 1.5 million), Adults 18-49 (+16% to 602,000) and Adults 18-34 (+13% to 262,000).
- Univision finished as the fifth most-watched broadcast network during primetime, ahead of The CW with 1.5 million Total Viewers 2+, 602,000 Adults 18-49 and 262,000 Adults 18-34.
- Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) across every night last week for the third consecutive week among Adults 18-34 and on four out of seven nights among Adults 18-49.
- Univision ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network in primetime for the seventh consecutive week with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+77% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+54% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+46% adv.).
- For the second consecutive week, Univision increased its weeknight primetime audience from the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (+5% to 1.6 million), Adults 18-49 (+7% to 658,000) and Adults 18-34 (+2% to 288,000), making it the No. 1 Spanish-language network in the Monday through Friday 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. time slot with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+92% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+68% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+53% adv.).
- At 8 p.m., “Ringo” delivered its highest-rated weekly performance with 1.7 million Total Viewers 2+, 683,000 Adults 18-49 and 338,000 Adults 18-34 and positioned Univision ahead of CBS, FOX and The CW with Adults 18-34. Ringo also drove Univision to a first-place finish on Spanish-language television with doubled the audience levels of Telemundo’s “Decisiones: Unos Ganan, Otros Pierden” among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
- At 9 p.m., “Amor Eterno” attracted more Total Viewers 2+ (+59% to 1.8 million), Adults 18-49 (+71% to 706,000) and Adults 18-34 (+71% to 290,000) during its season two premiere week from that of the first season. It also drove Univision to a third-place finish on broadcast television, outperforming CBS, FOX and The CW among Adults 18-34 as well as delivered two times the Adult 18-49 audience levels of Telemundo’s “La Doña Edicion Especial.”
- At 10 p.m., “El Dragón” averaged 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 586,000 Adults 18-49 and 234,000 Adults 18-34, making Univision a top-rated broadcast network with +15% audience advantage over CBS among Adults 18-34. With week-to-week audience gains of +4%, “El Dragón” has also outperformed Telemundo’s “El Señor de los Cielos VII” in the last four consecutive weeks with the key Adult 18-49 demographic.
- Univision’s weeknight series, “Ringo,” “Amor Eterno” and “El Dragón” drew in more Adult 18-34 viewers than first-run episodes of ABC’s “Black-ish,” “Emergence” and “Stumptown;” CBS’ “All Rise,” “Bull,” “Carol’s Second Act,” “Evil,” “FBI: Most Wanted,” “Magnum P.I.,” “Mom” and Unicorn;” NBC’s “Law and Order: SVU,” “Lincoln Rhyme,” “Perfect Harmony” and “Will & Grace;” as well as FOX’s “Almost Family.”
- Sunday night’s two-hour premiere of the second installment of “Mira Quién Baila All Stars” attracted 1.9 million Total Viewers 2+, 729,000 Adults 18-49 and 316,000 Adults 18-34 and positioned Univision ahead of ABC, NBC and The CW among Adults 18-49 as well as out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC and The CW with Adults 18-34 in the 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. time slot. The reality dance competition series averaged more Total Viewers 2+ (+2%), Adults 18-49 (+6%) and Adults 18-34 (+13%) compared to season one premiere airing, making it the highest-rated reality series premiere on Spanish-language television in 2019-2029 across all three demographic groups. “Mira Quién Baila All Stars” also drove Univision to a first-place finish on Spanish-language television with double-to-triple digit audience advantages over Telemundo during the two-hour premiere as well as for the entire night among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
