UniMás Outperforms The CW on Friday Night By Double-To-Triple Digit Margins Across All Key Demos With Live Soccer Coverage Featuring Mexico vs Chile

UniMás Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of March 18, 2019 to March 24, 2019 

  • Univision finished ahead of The CW in primetime with 1.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 447,000 Adults 18-49 and 170,000 Adults 18-34, marking the 26th consecutive week since the start of the current 2018/2019 season that Univision has outperformed The CW.
  • For the 21st consecutive week, Univision ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during primetime with an audience advantage of +5% over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+.
  • Univision’s “Jesus” delivered 1.5 million Total Viewers 2+, 549,000 Adults 18-49 and 210,000 Adults 18-34 and positioned Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-language network in the weeknight 8pm hour with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Adults 18-49 (+12% adv.) and Total Viewers 2+ (+30% adv.). The epic series also drew in more Adult 18-34 viewers than first-run episodes of ABC’s “For The People,” “Fresh Off the Boat” and “Speechless;” CBS’ “Madam Secretary” and “Seal Team;” NBC’s “A.P. Bio,” “Blacklist,” “Blindspot,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “Will & Grace;” FOX’s “Gotham,” “Proven Innocent” and “The Orville;” as well as The CW’s “All American,” “Arrow,” “Black Lightning,” “Charmed,” “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” “Dynasty,” “Legacies,” “Riverdale,” “Roswell New Mexico,” “Supergirl” and “Supernatural.”
  • Averaging more than half-a-million Adult 18-49 viewers, Univision’s “Jesus” (549,000) and “Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia” (576,000) outperformed first-run episodes of such English-language dramas as NBC’s “Blind Spot” and The CW’s “All American,” “Arrow,” “Black Lightning,” “Charmed,” “Dynasty,” “Legacies,” “Riverdale,” “Roswell New Mexico,” “Supergirl” and “Supernatural.”
  • On Sunday night, Univision captured the No. 1 Spanish-language network ranking for the entire night, out-delivering Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+30% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+15% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+7% adv.).
  • “Aquí y Ahora” increased its audience from the prior Sunday among Total Viewers 2+ (+17% to 924,000), Adults 18-49 (+5% to 305,000) and Adults 18-34 (+31% to 116,000).
  • The two-hour premiere of the fourth installment of “Pequeños Gigantes” attracted 1.6 million Total Viewers 2+, 576,000 Adults 18-49 and 240,000 Adults 18-34 and drove Univision to a first-place finish on Spanish-language television during the Sunday 8pm to 10pm time slot with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+44% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+27% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+28% adv.). The kids’ talent competition series also averaged more Adult 18-49 and Adult 18-34 viewers than The CW’s entire primetime original line-up consisting of “Supergirl” and “Charmed.”
  • “Crónicas” delivered double-digit week-over-week audience growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+32% to 1.3 million), Adults 18-49 (+48% to 521,000) and Adults 18-34 (+86% to 168,000). The news program also out-delivered the second hour of Telemundo’s “La Voz” head-to-head in the 10pm hour by +16% among Adults 18-49 and 21% among Total Viewers 2+.
  • The seventh annual fundraising special “TeletonUSA” averaged 421,000 Total Viewers 2+ during the 28-hour broadcast on the Univision network from Friday March 22, 2019 through Saturday March 23, 2019.
