Univision a Knockout Winner with Millennials, Outperforms CBS and FOX for Second Consecutive Saturday Night with Double-Digit Audience Advantages Among Adults 18-34

 Univision’s Sunday Primetime Lineup – “Aquí y Ahora,” “Me Caigo De Risa” and “Crónicas” – Delivers Week-Over-Week Audience Growth, Drives Broadcast Network to Top Five Ranking for Ninth Straight Week with Key Adult 18-49 Viewers

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of February 25, 2019 to March 3, 2019

  • For the 2nd consecutive Saturday, Univision finished ahead of CBS (+12% adv.) and FOX (+45% adv.) by double-digit margins for the entire night among Adults 18-34 with its live coverage of “Sábado Futbolero.” The back-to-back soccer matches – Tigres UANL vs. Pachuca and Guadalajara (Chivas) vs. Monterrey – delivered an average audience of 979,000 Total Viewers 2+, 453,000 Adults 18-49 and 163,000 Adults 18-34. Both games were among the top-rated programs on broadcast television on Saturday night among Adults 18-34 with Guadalajara (Chivas) vs. Monterrey coming in at No. 4 (175,000) and Tigres UANL vs. Pachuca finishing at No. 9 (151,000). The sports event also propelled Univision to a first-place finish on Spanish-language television, outperforming Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+46% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+32% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+5% adv.).
  • For the 9th consecutive week, Univision ranked as the No. 5 broadcast network during primetime, ahead of The CW with 552,000 Adults 18-49 and 4th consecutive week with 1.3 million Total Viewers 2+. This also marked the 23rd consecutive week since the start of the current 2018/2019 season that Univision has out-delivered The CW in primetime among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
  • Univision finished as the No. 1 Spanish-language network in primetime, outperforming Telemundo for the 9th and 18th consecutive week among Adults 18-49 (+9% adv.) and Total Viewers 2+ (+19% adv.), respectively.
  • Univision’s “Amar A Muerte” attracted 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+ with week-to-week audience gains among Adults 18-49 (+6% to 668,000) and Adults 18-34 (+11% to 245,000), positioning it as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during the weeknight 10 p.m. hour with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo’s “El Baron” among Total Viewers 2+ (+66% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+55% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+37% adv.). The supernatural series also drew in more Adult 18-34 viewers than first-run episodes of ABC’s “Fresh Off the Boat,” “Single Parents,” “Speechless,” “Splitting Up Together” and “The Rookie;” CBS’ “Bull,” “Madam Secretary,” “Magnum P.I.,” “NCIS: New Orleans” and “Ransom;” NBC’s “Will & Grace;” FOX’s “Gotham,” “Proven Innocent” and “The Gifted;” as well as The CW’s “All American,” “Charmed,” “Legacies,” “Riverdale,” “Roswell New Mexico” and “Supergirl.”
  • Averaging more than half-a-million Adult 18-49 viewers, Univision’s weeknight primetime series, “Jesus” (544,000), “Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia” (580,000) and “Amar A Muerte” (668,000), out-delivered first-run episodes of such English-language dramas as CBS’ “Ransom” and CW’s “All American,” “Charmed,” “Legacies,” “Riverdale,” “Roswell New Mexico” and “Supergirl.”
  • On Sunday night, Univision’s entire primetime line-up increased their Adult 18-49 audience levels from the prior week by double-digits with +11% for “Aquí y Ahora” (564,000), +13% for “Me Caigo De Risa” (407,000) and +76% for “Crónicas” (488,000). Head-to-head in the 7 p.m. hour, Univision’s “Aquí y Ahora” also outperformed Telemundo’s first hour of “Exatlon Estados Unidos” with double-digit audience advantages among Total Viewers 2+ (+43% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+30% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+27% adv.).
