Univision Wins with Young Viewers as Network Beats One or More of Top English-Language Broadcasters – ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX – on Four of Seven Nights Among Adults 18-34

Supernatural Series “Amar A Muerte” Out-Delivers Telemundo’s “Señora Acero V” Weeknights in the 10 p.m. Hour for Eighth Straight Week Across Key Demos

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of December 17, 2018 to December 23, 2018

Univision finished ahead of The CW during primetime for the thirteenth consecutive week since the start of the current 2018/2019 season with 1.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 459,000 Adults 18-49, 179,000 Adults 18-34.

Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on four out of seven nights last week among Adults 18-34.

Univision ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network in primetime, outperforming Telemundo by +5% among Adults 18-49 and +16% among Total Viewers 2+, marking the fourth and eighth consecutive week that it occupied the top-ranked Spanish-language network position across these two demographics, respectively.

From Monday through Friday, Univision also captured the No. 1 Spanish-language network ranking during weeknight primetime with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+16% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+11% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+10% adv.).

  • At 8 p.m., “Jesus” increased its audience week-over-week among Total Viewers 2+ (+4% to 1.3 million), Adults 18-49 (+1% to 502,000) and Adults 18-34 (+5% to 190,000). The epic series also out-delivered Telemundo’s “La Sultana” by +15% among Total Viewers 2+, +19% among Adults 18-49 and +2% among Adults 18-34.
  • At 9 p.m., “Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia” delivered 1.3 million Total Viewers 2+, 521,000 Adults 18-49 and 201,000 Adults 18-34, positioning Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-language network with double-digit audience advantages of +10% over Telemundo’s “Falsa Identidad” among Total Viewers 2+.
  • At 10 p.m., “Amar A Muerte” averaged 1.3 million Total Viewers 2+, 557,000 Adults 18-49 and 234,000 Adults 18-34. The supernatural series has also consistently outperformed Telemundo’s “Señora Acero V” in the last eight weeks among Total Viewers 2+ (+28% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+21% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+22% adv.).

Sunday night’s two-hour special airing of “Los Diez Mandamientos” attracted more Total Viewers 2+ (+38% to 1.0 million), Adults 18-49 (+18% to 352,000) and Adults 18-34 (+26% to 152,000) to the Univision network’s 8pm to 10pm time slot from the comparable Sunday last year. It also drove Univision to a first-place finish on Spanish-language television, outperforming Telemundo during the 8pm to 10pm time slot as well as for the entire night with the key 18 to 49 demographic.
