Univision Delivers Its Highest-Rated Weekly Primetime Performance During Current 2018/2019 Season Among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34

Supernatural Series “Amar A Muerte” Slays Telemundo’s “Señora Acero V” Head-to-Head in 10 P.M. Weeknight Time-Slot Across All Key Demos

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of October 29, 2018 to November 4, 2018

Last week, Univision delivered its highest-rated weekly primetime performance in the current 2018/2019 season with 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 566,000 Adults 18-49 and 247,000 Adults 18-34.

Univision has increased its primetime audience over the past two consecutive weeks with week-to-week audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+6%), Adults 18-49 (+6%) and Adults 18-34 (+10%).

For the entire week, Univision finished as the fifth most-watched broadcast network, ahead of the CW as well as edged out Telemundo to rank as the No. 1 Spanish-language network in primetime among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

Univision delivered week-to-week audience growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+8% to 1.5 million), Adults 18-49 (+11% to 620,000) and Adults 18-34 (+15% to 276,000), positioning it as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during weeknight primetime with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+24% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+18% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+21% adv.).

  • In the weeknight 8pm hour, “La Rosa De Guadalupe” averaged 1.6 million Total Viewers 2+ with week-to-week audience gains among Adults 18-49 (+4% to 680,000) and Adults 18-34 (+6% to 312,000). The series also made Univision the No. 1 Spanish-language network in the Monday through Friday 8pm hour, surpassing Telemundo by double-digit margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+38% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+58% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+76% adv.).
  • “Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia” delivered more Total Viewers 2+ (+11% to 1.4 million), Adults 18-49 (+12% to 588,000) and Adults 18-34 (+19% to 258,000) than the prior week and drove Univision to a first-place finish on Spanish-language television during the weeknight 9pm hour with double-digit audience advantages of +11% over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+. With more than half-a-million Adult 18-49 viewers, the dramedy also outperformed first-run episodes of such English-language dramas as NBC’s “Blindspot” and “Midnight, Texas” as well as CW’s “Arrow,” “Black Lightning,” “Charmed,” “DCs Legends of Tomorrow,” “Dynasty,” “Legacies,” “Supergirl” and “Supernatural.”
  • In its premiere week, “Amar A Muerte” attracted 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 607,000 Adults 18-49 and 265,000 Adults 18-34, making Univision one of the top 3 broadcast networks in the Monday through Friday 10pm to 11pm time slot, out-delivering CBS by +4% with the Adult 18-34 demographic. The series also averaged more Total Viewers 2+ (+38%), Adults 18-49 (+39%) and Adults 18-34 (+49%) than the comparable airings of its 10pm predecessor and outperformed Telemundo’s “Señora Acero V” head-to-head in the weeknight 10pm hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+29% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+11% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+3% adv.).

Univision’s weeknight series, “La Rosa De Guadalupe” (312,000), “Mi Marido Tiene Mas Familia” (258,000) and “Amar A Muerte” (265,000) also drew in more young Adult 18-34 viewers than first-run episodes of ABC’s “A Million Little Things,” “Fresh Off The Boat,” “Speechless” and “The Goldbergs;” CBS’ “Bull,” “Criminal Minds,” “Madam Secretary,” “Magnum P.I.,” “Murphy Brown,” “S.W.A.T.,” and “Seal Team;” NBC’s “Blindspot,” “I Feel Bad” and “Midnight, Texas;” FOX’s “Lethal Weapon” and “The Gifted;” as well as CW’s “Arrow,” “Black Lightning,” “Charmed,” “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” “DCs Legends of Tomorrow,” “Dynasty,” “Legacies,” “Supergirl” and “Supernatural.”

Close to a million Total Viewers 2+ (968,000) tuned-in to the Liga MX matchup between America and Toluca on the Univision network on Saturday night. America vs. Toluca also ranked among the top 5 programs on broadcast television, in fourth-place among Adults 18-34 (189,000) and in fifth-place among Adults 18-49 (476,000).

On Sunday night, Univision’s “Nuestra Belleza Latina” attracted 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+ and out-delivered CW’s entire original primetime line-up consisting of “Supergirl” and “Charmed” among both Adults 18-49 (509,000) and Adults 18-34 (224,000). The talent reality competitions series also averaged young Adult 18-34 (+6%) viewers than the previous airing as well as the comparable telecast of its predecessor, “Mira Quien Baila” (+12%).

Univision’s Sunday night news programs, “Aquí y Ahora” and “Crónicas” increased their Total Viewers 2+ audience by +32% (1.4 million) and +8% (1.2 million), respectively compared to the prior Sunday. “Aquí y Ahora” also averaged its highest-rated telecast in the current 2018/2019 season with week-to-week audience gains among Adults 18-49 (+13% to 461,000) and Adults 18-34 (+13% to 193,000). “Crónicas” delivered more Total Viewers 2+ (+11% adv.) and Adults 18-49 (+9% adv.) than Telemundo’s “Don Francisco Te Invita” head-to-head during the Sunday 10pm hour for the fifth consecutive week.
