Sábado Futbolero Drives Univision to No. 1 on Spanish-Language TV by Double-Digits in Key Demos on Saturday Night

“Nuestra Belleza Latina” Outperforms The CW’s “Charmed” and “Supergirl” with Adults 18-34 by Double-Digits on Sunday Night, as Univision Beats The CW for Fifth Consecutive Week In Primetime

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of October 22, 2018 to October 28, 2018

Univision finished ahead of The CW in primetime for the fifth consecutive week with week-over-week audience growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+6% to 1.3 million), Adults 18-49 (+9% to 535,000) and Adults 18-34 (+6% to 225,000).

With “Sábado Futbolero” featuring the back-to-back Liga MX matchups of Guadalajara (Chivas) vs. Monarcas Morelia and Cruz Azul vs. America, Univision captured the No. 1 Spanish-language network ranking on Saturday night with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+33% adv.) and Adults 18-49 (+25% adv.). Preceded by Guadalajara (Chivas) vs. Monarcas Morelia which drew in 904,000 Total Viewers 2+, 416,000 Adults 18-49 and 139,000 Adults 18-34, Cruz Azul vs. America retained and increased this overall lead-in audience by +36% with 1.2 million Total Viewers 2+ while also ranked as the fifth and sixth most-watched program on all of broadcast television among Adults 18-34 (271,000) and Adults 18-49 (668,000), respectively. The sports event also positioned Univision among the top 5 broadcast networks for the entire night, outperforming NBC by +28% with the young Adult 18-34 demographic.

Univision’s weeknight 8pm airings of “La Rosa De Guadalupe” increased its audience from the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (+24% to 1.6 million), Adults 18-49 (+24% to 651,000) and Adults 18-34 (+14% to 293,000). The dramatic series also delivered more Adult 18-34 viewers than first-run episodes of ABC’s “A Million Little Things” and “The Rookie;” CBS’ “Blue Bloods,” “Bull,” “Criminal Minds,” “God Befriend Me,” “Hawaii Five-0,” “MacGyver,” “Madam Secretary,” “Magnum P.I.,” “Murphy,” “NCIS: Los Angeles,” “NCIS: New Orleans,” “S.W.A.T” and “Seal Team;” NBC’s “Blindspot,” “I Feel Bad” and “Midnight, Texas;” as well as CW’s “All American,” “Arrow,” “Black Lightning,” “Charmed,” “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” “DCs Legends of Tomorrow,” “Dynasty,” “Legacies,” “Supergirl” and “Supernatural.”

Averaging more than half-a-million Adult 18-49 viewers, Univision’s “Rosa De Guadalupe” (651,000) and “Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia” (524,000) outperformed first-run episodes of such English-language dramas as NBC’s “Midnight, Texas” and CW’s “All American,” “Black Lightning,” “Charmed,” “DCs Legends of Tomorrow,” “Dynasty,” “Legacies,” “Supergirl” and “Supernatural.”

Univision’s two-hour airing of “Nuestra Belleza Latina” attracted 1.3 million Total Viewers 2+, 516,000 Adults 18-49 and 212,000 Adults 18-34 on Sunday night. With week-to-week audience gains of +15%, the talent competition series out-delivered CW’s entire original primetime line-up consisting of “Supergirl” (+23%) and “Charmed” (+25%) by double-digit margins among Adults 18-34.

For the fourth consecutive week, Univision’s “Crónicas” outperformed Telemundo’s “Don Francisco Te Invita” during the Sunday 10pm hour with audience advantages of +9% among Total Viewers 2+ (1.1 million) and +7% among Adults 18-49 (468,000) this past week. The news program also averaged more Adult 18-34 (206,000) than ABC’s “The Alec Baldwin Show” (+56% adv.) and Telemundo’s “Don Francisco Te Invita” (+11% adv.).
