“Premios Juventud” Announces Star-Studded Lineup of Performers Including Farruko, Grupo Firme, Guaynaa, Kali Uchis, Los Ángeles Azules, Myke Towers, Natti Natasha, and Ricky Martin
Memorable Performances Include the Reunion of Chino y Nacho and a Can’t-Miss Mariachi Number by the Aguilar Dynasty
MIAMI – JULY 1, 2021 – Today, Univision announced the first round of star-studded performers for “Premios Juventud” (PJ / Youth Awards) to celebrate “Youth Leading the Change in Culture.” From reggaeton to regional Mexican music, confirmed artists represent the growth and diversity of Latin music and culture. #PremiosJuventud will air live from the Watsco Center in Miami on Thursday, July 22, starting with “PJ Takeover” at 7 p.m. ET on Univision.
The 18th edition of PJ will feature memorable performances, including an awaited reunion, a multigenerational number celebrating one of the most popular genres in Latin music, and more. The artists participating in summer’s most awaited celebration include:
- Angela Aguilar, Leonardo Aguilar, and Pepe Aguilar: The iconic Aguilar family will make a memorable PJ moment with a multigenerational performance of classic mariachi songs. Angela Aguilar has three nominations.
- Chino y Nacho: PJ’s stage will be the setting for one of the most awaited reunions in Latin music, the return of Chino y Nacho. The beloved duo will perform a medley of their fan-favorite songs, including the hits “Niña Bonita,” “Andas En Mi Cabeza,” and “Me Voy Enamorando.”
- Farruko: The reggaeton superstar, who will tour the US for the first time later this year, will perform his latest music on stage. Farruko has five nominations.
- Fran Rozzano: The “New Generation – Male” nominee will be a part of “PJ Takeover.”
- Grupo Firme and Marca MP: Will delight regional Mexican fans with “El Güero.” Grupo Firme has four nominations and Marca MP has two.
- Guaynaa and Los Ángeles Azules: The music sensation and the legendary Mexican cumbia band will put everyone to dance with their hit collaboration “Fútbol a la Gente,” the official anthem of TUDN’s #VeranoDeCampeones. Guaynaa has six nominations and Los Ángeles Azules four.
- Jay Wheeler: Will bring his romantic reggaeton to PJ’s stage with “Viendo el Techo.” Jay Wheeler has one nomination.
- Kali Uchis: The “New Generation – Female” nominee will interpret her global phenomenon “Telepatía.” Kali Uchis has three nominations.
- Lunay: The rising star and nominee to the “Youth Artist Male” award will bring the flow of his new album “El Niño” to #PremiosJuventud. Lunay has two nominations.
- Myke Towers: Will perform the world premiere of his new single at PJ. Myke Towers has nine nominations.
- Natti Natasha: The urban music superstar, one of the most nominated artists of the night, returns to PJ for a world premiere in her first TV performance after becoming a mother. Natti Natasha has eight nominations.
- Ricky Martin and Paloma Mami: The global icon will perform with the rising star, in her first visit to #PremiosJuventud, their recently launched hit “Que Rico Fuera.” Ricky Martin has one nomination.
- Tini: the Argentinian powerhouse returns to PJ to perform her summer hit record “Miénteme.”
- Yeison Jimenez: The rising star will join PJ for the first time to perform “Tu Amante” during “PJ Takeover.” Yeison Jimenez has two nominations.
Alejandra Espinoza will host this year’s PJ, along with other hosts scheduled to be announced soon. In addition, fans will get the latest news from backstage host Borja Voces. Gabriel Coronel, Jomari Goyso, Roberto Hernández, Clarissa Molina, and Fátima Molina will host “PJ Takeover.”

MIAMI –1 DE JULIO DE 2021– Hoy Univision anunció la primera ronda de grandes estrellas para “Premios Juventud” (PJ) que homenajearán a “Jóvenes Liderando el Cambio en la Cultura”. Los artistas de distintos géneros musicales, desde reguetón hasta regional mexicana, representan el auge y la diversidad de la música y cultura latina.#PremiosJuventud se trasmitirá en vivo el jueves, 22 de julio a las 7 p.m. Este/Pacífico por Univision desde el Watsco Center en Miami.
La 18a edición de PJ incluirá actuaciones memorables, entre ellas un esperado rencuentro y un número que unirá a distintas generaciones para celebrar a uno de los géneros más populares de la música latina. Entre los artistas que participarán en la celebración más esperada del verano están:
- Ángela Aguilar, Leonardo Aguilar y Pepe Aguilar: La emblemática familia Aguilar ofrecerá un momento memorable en PJ con la interpretación por varias generaciones de clásicas canciones de mariachi. Ángela Aguilar tiene tres nominaciones.
- Chino y Nacho: El escenario de PJ servirá de trasfondo para uno de los rencuentros más esperados de la música latina, el retorno de Chino y Nacho. El popular dúo presentará un popurrí de las canciones favoritas de sus fans, entre ellas los éxitos “Niña bonita”, “Andas en mi cabeza” y “Me voy enamorando”.
- Farruko: La superestrella del reguetón, quien este año saldrá de gira por primera vez en Estados Unidos, presentará sus éxitos más recientes en el escenario. Farruko tiene cinco nominaciones.
- Fran Rozzano: El nominado a “La nueva generación – masculina” tomará parte en “PJ Takeover”.
- Grupo Firme y Marca MP: Deleitarán a los aficionados a la música regional mexicana con “El Güero”. Grupo Firme tiene cuatro nominaciones, y Marca MP tiene dos.
- Guaynaa y Los Ángeles Azules: La sensación de la música y el legendario grupo de cumbia mexicana harán que todos se pongan a bailar con su exitosa colaboración “Fútbol a la gente”, el himno oficial de #VeranoDeCampeones de TUDN. Guaynaa tiene seis nominaciones, y Los Ángeles Azules cuatro.
- Jay Wheeler: Llevará su reguetón romántico al escenario de PJ con “Viendo el techo”. Jay Wheeler tiene una nominación.
- Kali Uchis: La nominada a “La nueva generación – femenina” interpretará “Telepatía”, un fenómeno internacional. Kali Uchis tiene tres nominaciones.
- Lunay: La joven estrella y nominado a “Artista de la juventud masculino” traerá el flow de su nuevo álbum “El Niño” a #PremiosJuventud. Lunay tiene dos nominaciones.
- Myke Towers: Presentará el estreno mundial de su nuevo sencillo en el escenario de PJ. Myke Towers tiene nueve nominaciones.
- Natti Natasha: La superestrella de la música urbana, que está entre los artistas con más nominaciones de la noche, regresa a PJ para un estreno mundial, su primera actuación en televisión tras convertirse en madre. Natti Natasha tiene ocho nominaciones.
- Ricky Martin y Paloma Mami: El ídolo internacional cantará su éxito reciente “Que rico fuera”, junto a la joven estrella quién visita #PremiosJuventud por primera vez. Ricky Martin tiene una nominación.
- Tini: la talentosa argentina regresará a PJ para presentar su exitoso álbum de verano “Miénteme”.
- Yeison Jiménez: El joven artista se unirá a PJ por primera vez para presentar “Tu Amante” durante “PJ Takeover”. Yeison Jiménez tiene dos nominaciones.
