Univision’s “Premios Juventud” (Youth Awards) Reveals “Agents of Change” Honorees and the First Round of Stars Performing in 2020 Show

MIAMI – JULY 22, 2020 – Univision’s “Premios Juventud” (Youth Awards) announced today the artists who will be honored with this year’s “Agents of Change” award, which recognizes individuals using their star power for a good cause and its first round of stellar performers for the main show. The 17th edition of #PremiosJuventud will take place on Thursday, August 13, 2020, at 8 p.m. ET/PT (6 p.m. CT).
This year #PremiosJuventud will recognize global music superstar Ricky Martin with the “Agent of Change” award for his activism and renowned efforts through the Ricky Martin Foundation, before and during the pandemic, keeping the community safe and informed using his platforms. Additionally, Latin star Becky G will also be honored with the prestigious award for her active role leading social change.
In a world that’s in constant change, music is forever and #PremiosJuventud will celebrate Latin music with a historic event. The show also announced that actress and activist Julissa Calderon and Latin music sensation Sebastián Yatrawill join as hosts this year. They join the previously announced hosts Ana Patricia Gámez, Francisca Lachapel and Borja Voces.
The first round of stars announced to perform in this historic edition of #PremiosJuventud are Anuel AA, Rauw Alejandro, Neto Bernal, Camilo, Natti Natasha, Gloria Trevi, Manuel Turizo and Jay Wheeler.
- Rauw Alejandro and Camilo– Two of the hottest artists of the summer will perform their hit “Tatoo Remix,” which has reached over 55M views online. Alejandro and Camilo have 2 nominations each.
- Anuel AA – The popular reggaeton singer and one of the most nominated artists of the night will deliver an unforgettable performance. Anuel has 7 nominations.
- Neto Bernal – The young and vibrant emerging Mexican regional singer who performed at #PJLiveEnCasa this summer. Bernal has 1 nomination.
- Natti Natasha – The singer-songwriter will keep the celebration going with a special performance. Natasha has 3 nominations.
- Gloria Trevi – Latin music star Gloria Trevi will take the stage for a memorable presentation.
- Manuel Turizo – The reggaeton star’s new single “Quiereme Mientras Se Pueda” has reached over 20M views online this summer. Turizo has 5 nominations.
- Jay Wheeler – The young rising star will perform for the first time on #PremiosJuventud and will bring with him his romantic reggaetón flow to the big stage.

MIAMI –22 DE JULIO DE 2020 – “Premios Juventud” de Univision anunció hoy a los artistas que recibirán el premio “Agentes de Cambio”, el reconocimiento a las personas que usan su influencia como estrellas a favor de una causa noble, y la primera ronda de artistas estelares que se presentarán en el show. La 17a edición de #PremiosJuventud tendrá lugar el jueves, 13 de agosto de 2020, a las 8 p.m. Este/Pacífico (6 p.m. Centro).
Este año #PremiosJuventud homenajeará a la superestrella internacional de la música Ricky Martin con el premio “Agente de Cambio” por su activismo y reconocidos esfuerzos a través de Ricky Martin Foundation, antes y durante de la pandemia, manteniendo a la comunidad segura e informada a través de las plataformas. Además, se otorgará el prestigioso premio a la superestrella latina Becky G por su papel activo liderando cambios sociales.
El mundo cambia, pero la música es para siempre y este año #PremiosJuventud celebrará la música con un evento histórico. Para el show de este año se está incorporando a la actriz y activista Julissa Calderón y la sensación de la música latina Sebastián Yatra como conductores del programa de tres horas de duración. Ellos se unirán a los conductores Ana Patricia Gámez, Francisca Lachapel y Borja Voces, cuya participación se anunció anteriormente.
