Schedule Features Over 30 Matches from the 2020 Regular Season, Plus All-Star and Post-Season Contests
TUDN’s Popular Studio Programs “Somos MLS” and “Mercado MLS” Return for 2020 Season
MIAMI – FEBRUARY 27, 2020 – TUDN, the undisputed Home of Soccer in the U.S., today announced its comprehensive coverage for Major League Soccer’s 25th anniversary season. The Spanish-language slate will include 31 regular season matches, along with the MLS All-Star Game, MLS Playoffs, and the MLS Cup during the historic 2020 season. TUDN will also provide select pre-game shows as part of “Fútbol Central,” as well as season-long coverage via studio shows “Somos MLS” and “Mercado MLS.”
Univision and UniMás broadcast networks will be home to MLS action this season, with all matches simulcast on TUDN, the No. 1 Spanish-language sports cable network in the U.S. The 14 regular season matches set to air on Univision mark the most-ever telecast on the flagship network. Games will also stream live on the TUDN and Univision apps, and TUDN.com. In addition to Spanish-language commentary from TUDN’s best-in-class broadcast team, English-language commentary of all MLS telecasts will be available via SAP. Select matches will also be available on TUDN Radio.
Highlights for the upcoming season include:
- CHICHARITO MAKES STATESIDE DEBUT: TUDN will bring fans Mexican superstar Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez’s official MLS debut as the LA Galaxy open on the road against the Houston Dynamo and first-year manager Tab Ramos on Saturday, February 29. The match is the first of five regular season contests TUDN will carry featuring the Galaxy during the season:

- March 22: LA Galaxy vs. Orlando City SC at 5:30 p.m. ET on UniMás and TUDN

- FAST STARTS: New clubs Inter Miami CF and Nashville SC can look no further than the instant success of the recent expansion LAFC and Atlanta United FC, who enter 2020 season as MLS Cup favorites. LAFC has a tough act to follow after setting the single-season points record in 2019, however, it has bolstered its lineup with the additions of up-and-coming midfielders Francisco Ginella and Jose Cifuentes, and veteran keeper Kenneth Vermeer to join Carlos Vela. Meanwhile, Josef Martinez leads a young and talented Atlanta United squad with hopes to repeat its 2018 championship season.
