Hollywood Megastar John Travolta to Join Host Pitbull and Rapper Lil Jon for a Historic Moment on Univision’s “Premio Lo Nuestro” 2020

Lunay, Myke Towers and Arcangel have joined the star-studded list of presenters who will recognize top Latin music performers during the longest running Latin music award show in the U.S.

The first Latin Music awards of the decade will offer viewers more than five hours of programming packed with big names and original content on February 20 on Univision and UniMás 

MIAMI – FEBRUARY 18, 2020 – John Travolta, whose legendary moves and acting roles have made him an American culture trendsetter for decades, will help celebrate Latin music and its diverse genres during this week’s “Premio Lo Nuestro” (PLN) 2020. Travolta, alongside Latin superstar and this year’s host Pitbull, and the popular rapper Lil Jon have created an unforgettable moment that will make history. During this year’s star-studded event, top and emerging artists, as well as celebrity presenters and hosts, will showcase today’s most popular Latin tunes on Thursday, February 20, live from the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, FL.

The live coverage kicks off at 6 p.m. ET (5 p.m. CT) with PLN Countdown building the anticipation on UniMás and continues at 7 p.m. ET (6 p.m. CT) with the highly anticipated carpet arrival with PLN Noche de Estrellas on Univision. At 8 p.m. ET (7 p.m. CT) on Univision, “Premio Lo Nuestro” 2020 will celebrate la música latina in all its forms with accolades going to its top representatives: the performers most featured on Uforia Radio during a 10-month period last year.

Univision has tapped a slew of trending stars for five hours of hot Latin music content during the 32nd edition of PLN. Puerto Rican singers Lunay, Myke Towers and Arcangel just joined the list of star-studded presenters for this week’s celebration.

In addition to Travolta, this year’s edition of PLN, which celebrates Latin music’s worldwide popularity, will showcase top talents: Alejandro Fernández, Becky G, Chiquis, CNCO, Daddy Yankee, David Bisbal, Gerardo Ortiz, Gloria Trevi, J Balvin, Jesse & Joy, Lil Jon, Manuel Turizo, Mau y Ricky, Natti Natasha, Nicky Jam, Pedro Capó, Pitbull, Prince Royce, Raphael, Reik, Reykon, Ricardo Montaner, Ricky Martin, Sebastián Yatra, Thalía,Willie Colón, Zion & Lennox, Amandititita, Carlos Rivera, Cazzu, Chesca, Greeicy, Guaynaa, Jhay Cortez, Mariah, Morat, Rauw Alejandro and Yennis.

In a special presentation this year, PLN will honor Mexican top-selling mariachi artist Alejandro Fernández as the first recipient of the newly established “Premio Lo Nuestro Legado Musical – Mariachi” (Premio Lo Nuestro Musical Legacy – Mariachi) award; Colombian urban music star J Balvin with the “Icono Mundial” award; and legendary artist Raphael with the “Premio Lo Nuestro a la Excelencia.”

Delivering the coveted awards and presenting musical moments will be nominees and top celebrities: Beau “Casper” Smart, Bianca Marroquín, Bronco, Christian Nodal, Dayanara Torres, Ecko, Emilia, Farina, Galilea Montijo, Ilia Calderón, Jaime Camil, Kaan Urgancioglu, Kendo Kaponi, Kimberly Dos Ramos, Llane, Los Rivera Destino, Manuel Medrano, Rodrigo Guirao, Sandra Echeverría, Selenis Leyva, Sofía Reyes, Steve Aoki and Ulices Chaidez.

Fans will be treated to the very best of Latin music over two days of comprehensive programming, which also includes:

  • “PLN Countdown” on UniMás at 6 p.m. on Feb. 20, a one-hour special hosted by Ana Patricia, Karina Banda, Migbelis Castellanos, Quique Usales and Roberto Hernández, will feature behind-the-scenes coverage and interviews with this year’s performing artists and presenters.
  • The “Noche de Estrellas” pre-show at 7 p.m. on Univision will warm the crowd up with performances by David Bisbal, Mariah with Guaynaa, Mau y Ricky, Morat and Yennis.
  • And because the buzz won’t stop when it’s over, during the PLN Extra post show on Friday, February 21 at 3 p.m. on Univision, hosts Galilea Montijo, Borja Voces, and Karina Banda will re-live the most memorable moments from PLN 2020 during a one-hour special.

“Premio Lo Nuestro” nominations reflect airplay on Uforia radio during the eligibility period of Jan. 1 through Oct. 31, 2019. The winners have been selected by fans during the voting period on PremioLoNuestro.com.

La primera entrega de premios a la música latina de la década ofrecerá a los televidentes más de cinco horas de programación repleta de grandes celebridades y contenido original el 20 de febrero por Univision y UniMás 

MIAMI –18 DE FEBRERO DE 2020– John Travolta, cuyos legendarios bailes y papeles dramáticos lo han hecho un innovador en la cultura estadounidense durante décadas, ayudará a celebrar la música latina y sus diversos géneros durante “Premio Lo Nuestro” (PLN) 2020 esta semana. Travolta; Pitbull, superestrella latina y conductor de este año; y el popular rapero Lil Jon han creado un momento inolvidable que hará historia. Durante el estelar evento de este año, artistas nuevos y de renombre, como también presentadores y conductores célebres, celebrarán las más populares canciones latinas de la actualidad el jueves, 20 de febrero, en vivo desde AmericanAirlines Arena en Miami, FL.

La cobertura en vivo empezará a las 6 p.m. Este (5 p.m. Centro) con PLN Countdown para generar anticipación por UniMás, y continuará a las 7 p.m. Este (6 p.m. Centro) con el esperado desfile por la alfombra en PLN Noche de Estrellas por Univision. A las 8 p.m. Este (7 p.m. Centro) por Univision, “Premio Lo Nuestro” 2020 celebrará la música latina en todas sus formas con premios a sus más destacados intérpretes: los artistas más escuchados en Uforia Radio durante un periodo de 10 meses el año pasado.
