Live Coverage from MetLife Stadium Begins Friday, September 6 at 8:00pm ET
WHAT: The latest chapter in North America’s fiercest soccer rivalry will be written this Friday, September 6, when the U.S. and Mexico men’s national teams face off at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. TUDN, the multi-platform sports division of Univision Communications Inc. and the undisputed Home of Soccer in the U.S., will bring fanáticos all the live action from the pitch, plus the most comprehensive coverage before and after the matchup.
The game will air live at 8 p.m. ET on Univision and TUDN, with the broadcast team of Jose Luis Lopez and Luis Omar Tapia on the call. Braulio Luna and Marcelo Balboa will join the telecast as analysts, while Ramses Sandoval and Gibran Araige will report live from the sidelines for the U.S. and Mexico, respectively.
TUDN Radio will also carry audio coverage across the country, featuring play-by-play from Jorge Sanchez, analysis from Ivan Kasanzew and on-field reporting from Mafer Alonso.
There’s no love lost between these soccer titans. Their last meeting came in this summer’s Concacaf Gold Cup Final, where El Tri knocked off the Americans by a score of 1-0. A revenge win for the U.S. on Friday night would go a long way for new American coach Gregg Berhalter, who looks to prove he is the right man to lead the country’s men’s program. Berhalter’s lineup centers around Chelsea’s wunderkind Christian Pulisic and fellow midfielder Weston McKennie of Schalke 04. Meanwhile, El Tri will be led by returning stars Hirving “Chucky” Lozano of Napoli, Hector Herrera of Atlético Madrid and Sevilla’s newest star, Javier “Chicharito” Hernández.

QUÉ: El último episodio de la más feroz rivalidad futbolística en Norteamérica será escrito este viernes, 6 de septiembre, cuando los seleccionados masculinos de Estados Unidos y México se enfrenten en el Estadio MetLife de New Jersey. TUDN, la división deportiva en plataformas múltiples de Univision Communications Inc. y la sede indiscutible del fútbol en Estados Unidos, les brindará a los fanáticos toda la acción en vivo desde la cancha, además de la cobertura más completa antes y después del partido.
