NEW YORK – JULY 8, 2019 – Univision Communications Inc., the leading Hispanic media company in the U.S., announced today that Roxanna Flores will be joining the Univision Human Resources team as Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Local Media. She will be supporting Diane Kniowski, President and Regional General Manager of Local Media, and Univision’s local market general managers, effective today and will be based in New York.
Flores will oversee the delivery of human resources and organizational strategy for the company’s local media division, focusing on the needs of owned and operated television and radio stations in all markets where Univision has a presence. Her responsibilities will include implementation of strategic human resources initiatives around the identified critical organizational needs throughout Univision’s local media teams, both at the divisional and at the market level.
Flores brings deep expertise in media having held human resources management roles across high profile brands in broadcast, print, and digital throughout her career. Most recently, she was chief people officer at Fortune Magazine, part of Meredith Corporation, which last year completed its acquisition of Time, Inc. Over her seven-year tenure at Time, Inc., she held senior level human resource roles supporting global businesses with recognized franchises and titles such as Sports Illustrated and People en Español, as well as serving as Meredith’s very first chief diversity officer. Prior to Time, Inc. Flores worked at Dow Jones & Company, a division of Newscorp, supporting The Wall Street Journal team. From 1994 through 2008, Flores was with the Tribune Broadcasting Company at WPIX-TV and WGN, and earlier in her career, held roles at the Daily News and Pfizer.
She contributes to a career advice column for Chica, People en Español’s millennial site, and has served the Hispanic community through various volunteer activities. Flores is a long-time volunteer for New York Cares as well as a member of the advisory board for the Latina Philanthropy Council.
Flores holds a B.S, in Human Resource Management from the University of Maryland and resides in Long Island.

Univision Nombra a Roxanna Flores Vicepresidenta Principal de Recursos Humanos para Medios Locales
NUEVA YORK – 8 DE JULIO DE 2019 – Univision Communications Inc., la principal empresa de medios dirigidos a los hispanos en Estados Unidos, anunció hoy que Roxanna Flores se incorporará al equipo de Recursos Humanos de Univision como vicepresidenta principal de Recursos Humanos para Medios Locales. Apoyará a Diane Kniowski, presidenta y gerente general regional de Medios Locales, y a los gerentes generales de los mercados locales de Univision a partir de hoy y trabajará desde Nueva York.
Flores supervisará la ejecución de la estrategia organizativa y de recursos humanos de la división de medios locales de la compañía, con particular atención a las necesidades de las estaciones de radio y televisión de propiedad de la empresa y operadas por ella en todos los mercados en los que Univision está presente. Sus responsabilidades incluirán la implementación de programas estratégicos de recursos humanos en torno a las importantes necesidades organizativas que se han identificado en todos los equipos de medios locales de Univision, a nivel de división y mercado.
Flores aporta profundos conocimientos en medios de comunicación ya que durante toda su carrera ha ocupado cargos gerenciales de recursos humanos en diversas marcas de alto perfil en compañías de difusión, como también medios impresos y digitales. Recientemente fue directora ejecutiva de personal de la revista Fortune, parte de Meredith Corporation, que el año pasado concluyó la adquisición de Time, Inc. Durante los siete años que pasó en Time, Inc., ocupó cargos de alto nivel en recursos humanos de apoyo a empresas internacionales con franquicias conocidas y publicaciones como Sports Illustrated y People en Español, además de desempeñarse como la primera ejecutiva de Diversidad de Meredith.
