Twelve More A-list Performers Join Univision’s Premio Lo Nuestro’s Stellar Roster of Artists and Nominees
Anuel AA, Lele Pons, Fuego, Prince Royce and Farruko added to star-studded musical lineup
First-time host Maite Perroni joins returning hosts Alejandra Espinoza and Victor Manuelle
The 31st edition will air on Univision on Thursday, February 21, live from AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami starting at 7 p.m. ET
MIAMI – FEBRUARY 5, 2019— Twelve of Latin music’s biggest acts have been added to the already impressive list of artists and nominees scheduled to perform on the 31st edition of Univision’s Premio Lo Nuestro, the longest-running music awards show on U.S. Spanish-language television. Boasting world premieres, chart-topping hits, new categories and the most varied lineup ever, Premio Lo Nuestro will usher in a new era in its incomparable history on Thursday, February 21, at 7 p.m. ET live on Univision from the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami.
New artists scheduled to perform:
- Anuel AA –Chart-breaking Puerto Rican trap artist. This is his first Premio Lo Nuestro nomination (New Artist/Artista Revelación) and first time performing on the show.
- Lele Pons – Venezuelan Social Media content creator and fast-rising music star will premiere her new single with Fuego during the pre-show.
- Fuego – Washington, DC-raised Dominican trapero, will make his Premio Lo Nuestro debut with a pre-show premiere duet of “Bloque” with Lele Pons.
- Prince Royce – The contemporary Bachata prince and winner of 16 Premio Lo Nuestro awards joins the show in a special musical performance.
- Farruko – The Puerto Rican urban artist will perform “Calma REMIX” with Pedro Capó and is nominated in the new category of Remix del Año.
- Piso 21 – First-time nominees and with three nominations this year, the Colombian Latin pop group will sing their latest single “Te Vi” and introduce a new band member on live television.
- Intocable – The Tejano and Norteño group will perform their new song and be honored with the Premio a la Trayectoria for 25 years in the industry. They are the most nominated Regional Music band in the history of Premio Lo Nuestro (35) and hold the record for the most wins (24).
- De La Ghetto – Nominated for Video del Año, the charting urbano artist will perform.
- Pedro Capó – The Puerto Rican actor/singer will mark his first time on the Premio Lo Nuestro stage by performing with Farruko their world hit “Calma REMIX.”
- Silvestre Dangond – The four-time nominee, known for his updated takes on Colombian vallenato, will perform with Natti Natasha, this year’s most nominated artist, their nominated hit single “Justicia.”
- Lali – This is the first nomination (Remix Del Año) for the Argentine pop singer and first time on the Premio Lo Nuestro stage. She will perform “Lindo Pero Bruto” with nominated superstar Thalia.
First-time host Mexican actress and recording artist Maite Perroni joins previous hosts Alejandra Espinoza and Puerto Rican singer Victor Manuelle, who is also nominated in three Premio Lo Nuestro categories this year, including Tropical Artist of the Year. They will be accompanied onstage by a long list of celebrity presenters including Mexican actor Gabriel Soto, Ranchera artist Lupita Infante, Venezuelan actress Kimberly Dos Ramos, Romanian singer/songwriter Inna, and Regional Mexican artist El Bebeto.
Premio Lo Nuestro recognizes the best in Latin music and showcases star-studded performances, worldwide premieres and current hits that will be toping the charts this year. This 31st edition will feature newer music and include seven new categories representing today’s ever-expanding musical tastes: Sierreño Artist of the Year, ‘Replay’ Song of the Year, Single of the Year, Crossover Collaboration of the Year, Remix of the Year, Social Artist of the Year, and Tour of the Year.
The February 21 live event from Miami kicks off the annual Latin music awards season. Univision’s production team has once again partnered with the award winning and critically acclaimed producer, musician and composer, Sergio George, as musical director for the telecast.
Fans voted online from January 8th through January 21 for their favorites among 91 artists in 28 award categories. Nominations were based on the top 1,000 current and recurrent songs in Spanish and English with the most plays on Univision’s Uforia radio stations from January 1st to October 31stof 2018.

MIAMI —5 DE FEBRERO DE 2019— Doce de los artistas más famosos de la música latina confirmaron su participación junto a la ya impresionante lista inicial de cantantes y nominados que actuarán en la 31a edición de Premio Lo Nuestro por Univision, la ceremonia de premiación de más larga trayectoria de la televisión en español en Estados Unidos. Con estrenos mundiales, canciones populares, nuevas categorías y el grupo más variado de artistas de la historia, Premio Lo Nuestro abrirá las puertas a una nueva era en su incomparable historia el jueves, 21 de febrero a las 7 p.m. Este en vivo por Univision desde el AmericanAirlines Arena de Miami.
Los nuevos artistas que confirmaron su participación son:
- Anuel AA–Popular artista puertorriqueño de música trap. Es su primera nominación a Premio Lo Nuestro (Artista Nuevo / Revelación) y la primera vez que cantará en el show.
- Lele Pons –Artista venezolana, creadora de contenido para redes sociales y estrella musical en ascenso, estrenará su nuevo sencillo en el pre-show junto a Fuego.
- Fuego– Trapero dominicano que creció en Washington, DC y hará su debut en Premio Lo Nuestro en el pre-show con el estreno de su canción ‘Bloque’ junto a Lele Pons.
- Prince Royce– El Princípe de la Bachata contemporánea y ganador de 16 galardones Premio Lo Nuestro, se une a la ceremonia con una actuación especial.
- Farruko–El artista puertorriqueño de música urbana interpretará ‘Calma REMIX’ con Pedro Capó y está nominado a la nueva categoría de Remix del Año.
- Piso 21– Nominado por primera vez y en tres categorías, el grupo colombiano de música pop latina cantará su tema más reciente ‘Te Vi’ y presentarán al nuevo integrante de su banda por televisión en vivo.
- Intocable– El grupo de música tejana y norteña cantará su nuevo tema y recibirá el “Premio a la Trayectoria” por sus 25 años en la industria del entretenimiento. Son la banda de Música Regional con más nominaciones en la historia de Premio Lo Nuestro (35) y tienen el récord de premios (24).
- De La Ghetto–Se presentará el popular cantante de música urbana, nominado a “Video del Año”.
- Pedro Capó– El actor y cantante puertorriqueño debuta en el escenario de Premio Lo Nuestro interpretando junto con Farruko su éxito mundial “Calma REMIX”.
- Silvestre Dangond– Es la cuarta nominación para este cantante conocido por sus nuevas versiones del vallenato colombiano, y con Natti Natasha, la artista más nominada este año, cantarán su nuevo éxito nominado ‘Justicia’.

Por primera vez Maite Perroni, la actriz y cantante mexicana, será una de las presentadoras, junto a Alejandra Espinoza y el cantante puertoriqueño Victor Manuelle, quien también está nominado en tres categorías de PLN este año, incluyendo Artista Tropical del Año. Numerosas celebridades también serán presentadores, como el actor mexicano Gabriel Soto, la cantante de música ranchera Lupita Infante, la actriz venezolana Kimberly Dos Ramos, la cantautora rumana Inna y el artista de música Regional Mexicana El Bebeto.
Premio Lo Nuestro otorga reconocimiento a lo mejor de la música latina y presenta actuaciones estelares, estrenos mundiales y los éxitos del momento que encabezarán las listas de popularidad este año. Esta 31a ceremonia tendrá más estrenos musicales e incluirá siete nuevas categorías que representan los nuevos gustos musicales de hoy: Artista Sierreño del Año, Canción ‘Replay’ del Año, Sencillo del Año, Colaboración Crossover del Año, Remix del Año, Artista Social del Año y Gira del Año.
El evento del 21 de febrero se trasmitirá en vivo desde Miami y da inicio a la temporada anual de premios a la música latina. El equipo de producción de Univision se ha asociado una vez más a Sergio George, el galardonado productor, músico y compositor, aclamado por la crítica, quien será el director musical del evento.
Del 8 al 21 de enero, los fans votaron en línea por sus favoritos entre 91 artistas en 28 categorías de premiación. Las nominaciones se basaron en las 1,000 canciones en español e inglés más populares y más solicitadas en las estaciones de radio deUforia de Univision desde el 1o de enero al 31 de octubre de 2018.
