More Houstonians 18-49 Watch KXLN-TV than any other station

Houston, TX — More Houstonians 18-49, regardless of language, watch Univision 45 than any other television station in Houston, according to Nielsen Media Research.

Univision 45 KXLN-TV is the #1 station among Houston Adults18-49 in 6 out of 7 key dayparts.  Among early morning programs, Univision 45’s “Despierta America” (Wake Up America), ranks as the #2 morning show in the key Adult 18-49 demographic.

Other key findings in the November 2006 television measurement sweep include:

  • Univision 45’s “Noticias 45” is the #1 local newscast among Adults 18-49 at both 5pm and 10pm. Our early news is also #1 among Men 18-49.  “Noticias 45 a las 10” is Houston’s #1 late local newscast among Men 18-49 and Men 25-54.
  • The wildly popular daytime novela “Rebelde” (Rebel), which recently ended its two-year run, was the most watched daytime program in Houston among adults, men and women between the ages of 18 to 49.
  • Monday evening’s edition of “La Fea Mas Bella” (The Prettiest Ugly Girl), Univision 45’s hugely popular primetime novela, ranked as the third most watched program in Houston among Adults 18-49.
