TelevisaUnivision Appoints Karina Awad as Executive Vice President of Human Resources

Veteran HR executive brings deep leadership experience across Mexico and Latin America to TelevisaUnivision

MIAMI – April 27, 2026 – TelevisaUnivision today announced the appointment of Karina Awad as Chief Human Resources Officer, effective May 4th. Reporting directly to CEO Daniel Alegre, Awad will lead global HR strategy, talent development, and organizational culture.

Awad brings over two decades of senior HR leadership experience. She most recently served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Grupo Axo, driving enterprise-wide organizational transformation. Previously, as corporate HR director at Coca-Cola FEMSA, she optimized culture and operations across Latin America. Earlier, she spent ten years at Walmart, five of which as SVP of HR for Walmart in Mexico and Centroamerica, spearheading workforce strategy for the region’s largest employer.
