The New Channel Includes Iconic Television Programs Created by Eugenio Derbez Highlighting His Career as a Creator, Comedian, and Actor
MIAMI – APRIL 9, 2024 –ViX, the world’s leading Spanish-language streaming service, announced today that the exclusive channel for the whole family, DERBEZ EN ViX will premiere on the service’s free plan this April 11. DERBEZ EN ViX is a collection of hit television shows created by Eugenio Derbez, as well as the best Spanish-language content for all ages curated by the renowned actor, comedian and filmmaker.
The new ViX channel is part of the first-look agreement between Eugenio Derbez and 3Pas Studios, run by Derbez and producing partner Ben Odell, and TelevisaUnivision and will be available in the U.S., Mexico, and the rest of Latin America.
In addition, the channel curated by Derbez will include special clips where the comedian shares anecdotes from his career, his vision on comedy and the importance of humor in people’s lives, his idols, and his source of inspiration to create his unforgettable characters. DERBEZ EN ViX includes remastered and in process of remastering versions of the following programs:
DE BROMA EN BROMA (2021) – a program where Omar Chaparro and Perico Padilla reunite after many years to return to their first love: telephone pranks; only this time, they will be animated. Cast: Perico Padilla, Omar Chaparro and Federico Padilla.
DE VIAJE CON LOS DERBEZ (2019) – a comedy documentary series that follows one of the most beloved entertainment families in Spanish-language television as they travel together. Cast: Eugenio Derbez, Alessandra Rosaldo, Aislinn Derbez, Vadhir Derbez, José Eduardo Derbez and Aitana. Available only in the U.S.
LA FAMILIA P. LUCHE (2002) (season 1 R) – an iconic show about the daily life of a dysfunctional family whose plot takes place in the fictitious Ciudad P. Luche, where ridiculous and hilarious situations are played out. Cast: Eugenio Derbez, Consuelo Duval, Regina Blandón, Luis Manuel Ávila, Bárbara Torres, Miguel Pérez and Bryan Gibrán Mateo.
XH DERBEZ (2002) – a place where fun reigns. Different sketches will make the audience have a good time full of laughter and good humor. Cast: Eugenio Derbez, Barbara Torres and Consuelo Duval.
DERBEZ EN CUANDO (1998) (R) – a program featuring the comedian playing different funny characters that brought him to international fame. Cast: Eugenio Derbez, Oscar Uriel, Sabine Moussier, Maria Rubio, Andrea Legarreta, Silvia Pinal and Tatiana.
NO TENGO MADRE (1997) – a comic telenovela about Eligio Augusto Maldonado who wants to be a great comedian, and his mother before dying confesses to him that he is adopted, which gives him a clue to find his biological mother. Cast: Eugenio Derbez, Natalia Esperón, Saby Kamalich, Susana Alexander and Norma Lazareno.
VA DE NUEZ EN CUANDO (1998)– a compilation of the best sketches from “Derbez en cuando” and unpublished sketches with Eugenio Derbez’s greatest characters. Cast: Eugenio Derbez, Silvia Derbez, Jacobo Zabludovsky, Héctor Suárez, Andrea Legarreta and Patricia Navidad.
AL DERECHO Y AL DERBEZ (1993) – A program to laugh and enjoy the best comedy routines, sketches, and short jokes, with special guests, in which Eugenio Derbez addresses issues, with his unique style. Cast: Eugenio Derbez, Florencia Ferret, Enrique Benhumea, Silvia Eugenia Derbez, Armando Bernal, Gustavo Rodriguez and Carolina Guerrero.

DERBEZ EN ViX es una colección de exitosos programas de televisión creados por Eugenio Derbez, así como el mejor contenido en español para todas las edades curado por el renombrado actor, cómico y cineasta.
El nuevo canal de ViX forma parte del acuerdo de first-look o acceso preferencial entre Eugenio Derbez y 3Pas Studios, el estudio de producción dirigido por Derbez y su socio Ben Odell, y TelevisaUnivision y estará disponible en EE. UU. México y el resto de Latinoamérica.
Además, el canal curado por Derbez incluirá clips especiales donde el comediante comparte anécdotas de su carrera, su visión sobre la comedia y la importancia del humor en la vida de las personas, sus ídolos y su fuente de inspiración para crear sus inolvidables personajes.
