It Is the First Mexican Documentary to Be Nominated in the Sports Documentary Category at the Prestigious Awards Ceremony to Be Held Today, November 20 in New York
MIAMI – NOVEMBER 20, 2023 – ViX, the world’s leading Spanish-language streaming service, announced today that its original documentary produced by N+ Docs and North Films, 30 DÍAS PARA GANAR, is nominated for an International Emmy Award. The documentary, which is now available on the streaming service, is the first Mexican documentary to be nominated in the Sports Documentary category. The 2023 Emmy Awards ceremony will take place today, November 20 in New York.Directed by Jorge Laplace, 30 DIAS PARA GANAR tells the unique story of Alexia, a young woman with an intellectual disability who discovers that through sport she can turn her life around and earn the recognition of an entire country. Together with her mother Anette, they decided to create the first Mexican alpine ski team for athletes with intellectual disabilities to give these young people the visibility they never had.
