Lambda García makes history by becoming the first star to dance with a same-sex choreographer on the show
Miami, FL. – November 13, 2023 – Univision‘s popular dance reality show MIRA QUIÉN BAILA LA REVANCHA made a big stride towards inclusion and respect for the LGBTQ+ community in its semi-final gala on November 12.
With a number that told the moving story of two people who want to be together but are constantly being kept apart by society, the show left an indelible mark in its eleventh season on television, promoting diversity and understanding.
The semi-final night of the competition was an exciting one, as stars Raúl Coronado, Lambda García, Adrián Lastra, and Lis Vega all shone in a double-round gala. They showed off their talent on the dance floor, performing everything from the quick step to the bachata.
But it was Lambda García who stole the show in his second number, partnered with dancer and choreographer Jonathan Platero. In this heartfelt choreography, the two artists told a moving love story through their dance, set to the song “The Final Countdown.” They dazzled with a combination of paso doble and tango.
In addition to showcasing their talent and discipline, García and Platero also celebrated the values of the LGBTQ+ community. They made history on Hispanic television, as Lambda became the first participating star to dance with a choreographer of the same sex.
The grand finale of MIRA QUIÉN BAILA LA REVANCHA airs next Sunday, the 19th, at 7pm/6c on Univision.

Miami, FL. – 13 de noviembre de 2023 – El popular reality de baile MIRA QUIÉN BAILA LA REVANCHA de Univision dio un importante paso hacia la inclusión y el respeto a la comunidad LGBTQ+ en la gala semifinal del 12 de noviembre.
Mediante una presentación que relató la conmovedora historia de dos personas que quieren estar juntas y la sociedad se empeña en separarlos una y otra vez, el programa dejó una huella imborrable en su undécima temporada en la televisión, fomentando así la diversidad y la comprensión.
En la emocionante noche semifinal de la competencia, las estrellas Raúl Coronado, Lambda García, Adrián Lastra y Lis Vega brillaron en una gala de doble ronda, demostrando su talento en la pista de baile con presentaciones que abarcaron desde el quick step hasta la bachata.
Sin embargo, fue Lambda García quien logró conquistar tanto a los jueces como a la audiencia en su segundo número, junto al bailarín y coreógrafo Jonathan Platero. En esta sentida coreografía, ambos artistas transmitieron una emotiva historia de amor a través de su baile, al ritmo de la canción “The Final Countdown,” deslumbrando con una combinación de paso doble y tango.
Durante este número, García y Platero no sólo hicieron gala de su arte y disciplina en la pista, sino que exaltaron los valores de la comunidad LGBTQ+ y marcaron un antes y un después en la televisión hispana, al convertirse Lambda en la primera estrella participante en bailar con un coreógrafo del mismo sexo.
La gran final de MIRA QUIÉN BAILA LA REVANCHA se llevará a cabo el próximo domingo 19, a las 7p/6c por Univision.
