MIAMI – OCTOBER 17, 2023 – ViX, the leading Spanish-language streaming service in the world, announced today the start of production of five original series and one original film. These new titles are added to the approximately 50,000 hours of Spanish-language high-quality content originally produced by ViX since the launch of the streaming service.
From drama, crime and thriller to comedy and lifestyle, the new ViX titles include:
- ES POR TU BIEN (Movie, Comedy) – Horrified by the new girlfriends of their respective sons, three sisters-in-law – Clara, a socialite, Matis, a widowed professional, and Nena, a naive housewife – make an alliance to get rid of their undesirable daughters-in-law. It’s for their own good. Production: 3Pas Studios. - JUEGOS INTERRUMPIDOS (Series, Drama/Crime/Thriller) – When a Mexican mother that lives in the U.S discovers that her son, of Mexican origin, was given to her for adoption through a human trafficking network, she embarks on a journey with the child in search of answers. The truth, however, is accompanied by dangers that will put at risk not only the psychological health and stability of her family, but even their own lives. Production: Televisa Studios. - LUCHA DE ANTOJOS (Reality Series, Lifestyle/Food) Eight top chefs, having worked at top restaurants around the country, will now make dishes for the ultimate consumer, people in the streets of Mexico City. Hosted by the social media sensation Chef Andres de Oliveira, the show will feature the competition of all eight chefs on the streets of Mexico City to see who can make the most iconic street food dishes that dominate the stomachs of people on the streets of Mexico. Who will come on top? The culinary trained chefs or the homemade authentic street chefs of dishes we all love. Production: VICE Studios. Cast: Andres de Oliveira (host). - ORÍLLESE A LA ORILLA (Series, Comedy) – A spinoff of the successful comedy “40 y 20,” tells the story of Brayan and Toña who, after losing their jobs, decide to attend the police academy. There they cut their hair and make them work harder than ever. When they are about to give up the dream of being a police officer, they find out that they will graduate faster due to the high demand for police officers on the streets. Toña and Brayan will have adventures and get into trouble throughout their journey in the police academy. Production: BTF. - TODO LO QUE FUIMOS (Series, Drama) – Natalia and Gala are two mothers who don’t seem to have anything in common, except that their children go to the same school. Natalia is the perfect Mexican mom, married to Bruno, the perfect husband and father. Gala is a Chicana from New York who just moved to Mexico with Isa, her wife. But Natalia and Gala keep a secret: years ago, they had a relationship that changed their lives. Now they try to stay away from each other, but they can’t, there is a passion that pulls them together no matter how hard they fight it. A passion that threatens to destroy everything they have.
