Samsung’s free streaming TV and AVOD platform first-to-market with new premium offering
New York, New York – October 10, 2023 – Today, TelevisaUnivision, the world’s leading Spanish-language media and content company, and Samsung TV Plus, the leading TV manufacturer’s free ad-supported TV (FAST) and video on-demand (AVOD) service, announced an expanded partnership with the launch of 10 new channels from TelevisaUnivision’s global streaming service, ViX.
Through this partnership, Samsung TV Plus is the first to bring ten of ViX’s marquee channels to a FAST and AVOD platform, with content spanning news, sports, entertainment, novelas, comedies and lifestyle. Beginning today, the following channel line-up is now available to millions of Samsung TV Plus users in the US: Noticias Univision 24/7, Zona TUDN, Rebelde, Cine de Oro, Aqui y Ahora, Cine de Retro, Galanes. Pequenos Gigantes, Como Dice El Dicho and Las 3 Marias.

The new ViX channels add to existing Samsung TV Plus’ TelevisaUnivision offerings, including Novelas de Romance, Villanos de Novela, JaJaJa and Grandes Parejas. The breadth of channels adds to the platform’s year-round multicultural offerings, in addition to content honoring this year’s Hispanic Heritage Month. Highlights include:
- Noticias Univision 24/7: The 24/7 news channel features breaking news, special reports, original content and more.
- Zona TUDN: The 24/7 sports channel is the super fanáticos´ destination for all sports, featuring extended coverage for premium events, talk shows, analysis, commentary and exclusive interviews.
- Rebelde: The hit series is back. Watch as the drama unfolds when a group of teenagers who go to a prominent private school discover that, despite all their differences, their great love for music will unite them. Starring Anahí, Alfonso Herrera, Christopher von Uckermann, Dulce María, Maite Perroni and Christian Chávez.
