Televisaunivision Announces New Local Ad Sales Team Structure And Alignment

Aug 30, 2023

New transformative, client-centered approach to accelerate results and solidify client relationships

MIAMI, FL – August 30, 2023 – TelevisaUnivision today announced a transformative and client-centered approach for its Local Ad Sales team, including a new organizational structure that will ensure strategic alignment, efficiency and focus to achieve accelerated results for clients.

The Local Ad Sales team will operate under three distinct and client-dedicated units: a Holding Company Unit, Multi-Market Unit, and a Local Sales Unit. The new approach aligns teams with industry trends, eliminates redundancies, and solidifies relationships at the agency and client level.

“Our efforts to align with the competitive landscape that exists in our industry have resulted in this client-centered mentality where all three units are focused on streamlining agency and client relationships, allowing for more strategic and efficient engagement and support,” said Antonio Roman, EVP, Local Media Sales at TelevisaUnivision. “This important restructuring features an account vs. market approach and allows each client to have one point of contact within their respective unit for a true client-first mentality.”

The Holding Company Unit will continue its targeted approach and close collaboration with the agencies it supports.

“I am looking forward to continuing partnering with TelevisaUnivision in this new client-centric sales approach. It will be beneficial to our business, in alignment with the industry trends,” said Joe Cerone, Executive Vice President, Local Investment & Media Research at MAGNA, the intelligence and investment arm of IPG Mediabrands. “This new structure promises to solidify our relationship and will accelerate results.”

The company’s new Multi-Market Unit will focus on eight (8) regions including the top six (6) Hispanic DMAs and major advertising hubs in the LA, NY, MIA, HOU, DAL, CHI, SF, and ATL markets. Clients within the Multi-Market Unit will benefit from enhanced service and engagement via one point of contact.

“This new client-centric collaborative structure aligns perfectly with us at INFUSION and how we approach our client and partner relationships to develop strategic 360° plans that drive results. We’re excited about the more holistic focus, service and knowledge depth gained with this Multi-Market Unit framework under Antonio Roman’s formidable leadership,” said Liz Castells-Heard, CEO, Chief Strategy Officer, INFUSION by Castells/ Castells & Asociados. “The agency well represents TelevisaUnivision’s local media divisions with key clients like the Toyota Dealership Associations and McDonald’s owner/Operators of Southern California and multiple other markets, as well as being Charter Communications’ Multicultural Creative AOR.”

Transformative changes to TelevisaUnivision’s Local Ad Sales will allow the new Units to meet and exceed industry trends, and better serve clients.
