MIAMI, FL. – FEBRUARY 23, 2023 – Under the theme “El Mundo Es Lo Nuestro,” Univision’s PREMIO LO NUESTRO (PLN) celebrated its 35th edition with an unforgettable show that delivered worldwide premieres, first-time PLN performers, special collaborations, TV debuts, and more by a star-studded lineup of artists who represent the music of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. PREMIO LO NUESTRO aired LIVE from Miami-Dade Arena in Miami on Univision and Galavision.
Regional Mexican hitmakers Grupo Firme were the night’s biggest winner with six PREMIO LO NUESTRO Awards, including “The Perfect Mix Of The Year.” They were followed by Karol G and Sebastián Yatra with four wins each. Bad Bunny, Bizarrap, Daddy Yankee, and Shakira, each received three awards.
The world’s longest-running Latin music award show opened with performances from two of the show’s hosts. The most-nominated artist of the night, Sebastián Yatra, presented the TV debut of his hot new single Una Noche Sin Pensar followed by the worldwide premiere of No Es Mi Culpa by the Queen of Pop Paulina Rubio.
The night included an exhilarating number by global superstars Maluma and Marc Anthony of their new collaboration La Formula. Another standout performance was Urban star Ozuna’s medley of hits Dile Que Tu Me Quieres, Se Preparó, Vaina Loca, Baila Baila, Del Mar, and Hey Mor. Regional Mexican superstar Christian Nodal delivered an unforgettable TV premiere of Cumbión Dolido and in collaboration with Argentine Pop sensation TINI, Por El Resto De Tu Vida.
PREMIO LO NUESTRO bestowed the prestigious Premio Lo Nuestro a la Trayectoria (Lifetime Achievement Award), Premio Lo Nuestro Legado Musical al Genero Urbano (Legacy of Urban Music Award), and Premio Lo Nuestro a la Excelencia (Excellence Award) to megastars Victor Manuelle, Ivy Queen, and Intocable, respectively. The Pioneering “Queen of Reggaetón” Ivy Queen made history as the first female artist to receive that award. During the ceremony, the Puerto Rican icon hit the stage with a medley of her greatest hits and throwback tunes including Yo Quiero Bailar. Salsa giants Gilberto Santa Rosa, Jerry Rivera, Noel Schajris, Norberto Vélez and Tito Nieves came together to pay homage to Victor Manuelle’s three outstanding decades in Latin Music with a special performance of Tengo Ganas, Dile A Ella, and He Tratado. To honor their special award, Intocable performed a medley of Si Me Duele Que Duela and No Me Hablen De Amor alongside Pepe Aguilar and Grupo Firme.
Other memorable moments include this year’s new artist segment featuring Puerto Rican rapper Álvaro Diaz performing Babysita </3, Lentito, and 1000Canciones, acclaimed singer songwriter Elena Rose with Bayamón, and a performance of Bemaste by Argentine sensation Tiago PZK. Taking over the PLN stage for the first time were popular Regional Mexican band La Adictiva with a special performance of their hit JGL, Sierreño singer-songwriter Carin León who performed No Es Por Acá and Pedazo de Tonto, and Aymée Nuviola and Spanish sensation Melendi who delivered a touching performance of Pan Para Yolanda. The night wrapped with a moving tribute to women by renowned pianist and composer Arthur Hanlon alongside powerhouses Ivy Queen, Lupita Infante, and Goyo who performed Ya Te Olvide, Without You, and Gotas de Lluvia from his successful albums Piano y Mujer I & II.
More top musical numbers of the night were:
- Urban singer and composer El Alfa and global bachata idol Prince Royce took the stage to perform Le Doy 20 Mil.
- Superstar and global icon Gloria Trevi made her first national TV appearance of the year at the award show with a showstopping performance of her hit ballad Ensayando Como Pedirte Perdón.
- Popular tropical duo Gente De Zona returned to PLN to perform their hit Hablame De Miami with Maffio.
- Mexican superstar Carlos Rivera made his TV debut of his most recent release Sincerándome, and then joined Ricardo Montaner to perform Yo No Fumo
- Venezuelan singer-songwriters Mau y Ricky performed a TV premiere of their most recent single
- Trailblazing Regional Mexican group Fuerza Regida and Grupo Frontera performed their hit Bebe Dame.
The three-hour show was hosted by Paulina Rubio, Alejandra Espinoza, Sebastián Yatra, and Adrian Uribe with Migbelis Castellanos and Arana Lemus as backstage hosts. The dynamic magenta carpet and pre-show NOCHE DE ESTRELLAS was presented by Pamela Silva, Michelle Galván, Gabriel Soto, Migbelis Castellanos, Raúl De Molina, Jomari Goyso, Arana Lemus, and Yayis Villareal.

PREMIO LO NUESTRO se transmitió EN VIVO desde Miami-Dade Arena en Miami por Univision y Galavision.
Los creadores de éxitos regionales mexicanos Grupo Firme fueron los mayores ganadores de la noche con seis premios PREMIO LO NUESTRO, incluido “La mezcla perfecta del año”. Les siguieron Karol G y Sebastián Yatra con cuatro triunfos cada uno. Bad Bunny, Bizarrap, Daddy Yankee y Shakira recibieron tres premios cada uno.
El show de premiación a la música latina de mayor trayectoria en el mundo arrancó con las presentaciones de dos de los anfitriones del programa. El artista más nominado de la noche, Sebastián Yatra, presentó el debut televisivo de su nuevo sencillo Una Noche Sin Pensar seguido del estreno mundial de No Es Mi Culpa de la Reina del Pop Paulina Rubio.
La noche incluyó un emocionante número de las superestrellas mundiales Maluma y Marc Anthony con su nueva colaboración La Formula. Otra actuación destacada fue la mezcla de éxitos de la estrella urbana Ozuna Dile Que Tu Me Quieres, Se Preparó, Vaina Loca, Baila Baila, Del Mar y Hey Mor. PREMIO LO NUESTRO otorgó el prestigioso Premio Lo Nuestro a la Trayectoria, Premio Lo Nuestro Legado Musical al Género Urbano y el Premio Lo Nuestro a la Excelencia a las megaestrellas Víctor Manuelle, Ivy Queen e Intocable, respectivamente. La pionera “Reina del reggaetón” Ivy Queen hizo historia como la primera artista femenina en recibir ese premio. Durante la ceremonia, el ícono puertorriqueño subió al escenario y presento una mezcla de sus grandes éxitos y temas clásicos, incluyendo Yo Quiero Bailar. Los gigantes de la salsa Gilberto Santa Rosa, Jerry Rivera, Noel Schajris, Norberto Vélez y Tito Nieves se unieron para rendir homenaje a las tres destacadas décadas de Víctor Manuelle en la música latina con una presentación especial de Tengo Ganas, Dile A Ella y He Tratado. Para honrar su premio especial, Intocable interpretó un popurrí de Si Me Duele Que Duela y No Me Hablen De Amor junto a Pepe Aguilar y Grupo Firme.
Otros momentos memorables incluyen el nuevo segmento de artistas de este año con el rapero puertorriqueño Álvaro Díaz interpretando Babysita </3, Lentito y 1000Canciones, la aclamada cantautora Elena Rose con Bayamón y la interpretación de Bemaste por la sensación argentina Tiago PZK. Tomando el escenario de PLN por primera vez estuvieron la popular banda regional mexicana La Adictiva con una presentación especial de su éxito JGL, la cantautora sierreña Carin León quien interpretó No Es Por Acá y Pedazo de Tonto, y Aymée Nuviola y la sensación española Melendi quien entregó una interpretación conmovedora de Pan Para Yolanda. La noche concluyó con un emotivo homenaje a la mujer a cargo del reconocido pianista y compositor Arthur Hanlon junto a las poderosas Ivy Queen, Lupita Infante y Goyo, quienes interpretaron Ya Te Olvide, Without You y Gotas de Lluvia de sus exitosos álbumes Piano y Mujer I y II.

- Los cantautores venezolanos Mau y Ricky realizaron un estreno televisivo de su más reciente sencillo Miami.
- El pionero grupo regional mexicano Fuerza Regida y Grupo Frontera interpretaron su éxito Bebe Dame.
