Last week, Univision finished ahead of CW during primetime with 1.1 million Total Viewers 2+, 422,000 Adults 18-49 and 162,000 Adults 18-34.

For the fifth consecutive week, Univision outperformed one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on six out of seven nights among Adults 18-34.

Univision’s “El Rico y Lázaro” delivered 1.5 million Total Viewers 2+ with week-to-week audience gains among both Adults 18-49 (+9% to 546,000) and Adults 18-34 (+13% to 219,000). The series also made Univision the No. 1 Spanish-language network during the weeknight 8pm hour with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+56% adv.) and Adults 18-49 (+14% adv.) as well as by +5% among Adult 18-34.

In its premiere week, the third season of “El Chapo” averaged 1.0 million Total Viewers 2+, 477,000 Adults 18-49 and 198,000 Adults 18-34, which helped position Univision among the top 5 broadcast networks in the Monday through Friday 10pm to 11pm time slot, out-delivering CBS by +14% with the Adult 18-34 demographic. The dramatic series also delivered more Adult 18-34 viewers than first-run episodes of ABC’s “Take Two;” CBS’ “Salvation;” NBC’s “Reverie;” and CW’s “The Hundred,” “The Originals” and “The Outpost.”

Univision captured the No. 1 Spanish-language network ranking for the third consecutive Saturday night, besting Telemundo by double-digits among both Adults 18-49 (+15% adv.) and Total Viewers 2+ (+47% adv.). “Rosa De Guadalupe” delivered week-over-week gains from the same 8pm timeslot the prior Saturday with Total Viewers 2+ (+20% to 855,000) and Adults 18-49 (+20% to 348,000). Univision’s broadcast of Liga MX’s award-show, “Balón de Oro,” retained 83% of its overall lead-in audience from “Rosa De Guadalupe,” generating 709,000 Total Viewers 2+ and averaging more Adults 18-49 (273,000) than Telemundo’s “Cine Mundial S” (+1% adv.) and “El Cesar II” (+16% adv.).
