Univision Ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-Language Network During Primetime with Double-Digit Audience Advantages over its Closest Competitor Among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34

Univision finished as the No. 2 Broadcast Network, Ahead of ABC, NBC, FOX and CW on Friday Night among Adults 18-34 with its Live Sports Coverage of “Selección Mexicana”

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of March 19, 2018 to March 25, 2018

Last week, Univision ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during primetime, out-delivering its closest competitor by double-digit audience advantages among Total Viewers 2+ (+38% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+25% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+46% adv.), marking the nineteenth consecutive week in the current 2017/2018 season that it occupied the top-ranked Spanish-language network position in the key Adult 18-49 demographic.

Univision also finished as the fifth most-watched broadcast network for the entire week in primetime, ahead of CW, with 1.5 million Total Viewers 2+, 630,000 Adults 18-49 and 279,000 Adults 18-34.

Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on six out of seven nights last week among Adults 18-34.

Univision’s “El Rico y Lázaro” averaged 1.8 million Total Viewers 2+ with week-to-week audience gains among Adults 18-49 (+5% to 708,000) and Adults 18-34 (+3% to 302,000). The series also made Univision the No. 1 Spanish-language network during the weeknight 8pm hour, surpassing its closest competitor by +66% among Total Viewers 2+, +59% among Adults 18-49, and +101% among Adults 18-34.

Airing weeknights at 9pm, Univision’s “Papá a Toda Madre” averaged 1.6 million Total Viewers 2+, 735,000 Adults 18-49 and 335,000 Adults 18-34. The series also delivered more Adult 18-34 viewers than the first-run episodes of ABC’s “Designated Survivor,” “For The People,” “Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and “Once Upon A Time;” CBS’ “Kevin Can Wait,” “Living Biblically,” “Madam Secretary,” “Man With a Plan,” “Scorpion” and “Superior Donuts;” NBC’s “A.P. Bio,” “Blindspot,” “Taken” and “Timeless;” FOX’s “LA to Vegas,” “Last Man on Earth” and “The Mick;” as well as CW’s “Black Lightning,” “DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow,” “Dynasty,” “iZombie,” “Jane The Virgin,” “Life Sentence” and “Riverdale.”

In its third week on the air, Univision’s “Por Amar Sin Ley” delivered more Total Viewers 2+ (+14% to 1.5 million), Adults 18-49 (+17% to 640,000) and Adults 18-34 (+4% to 261,000) than the comparable week of its 10pm predecessor, “Caer en Tentación.”

On Friday night, Univision’s special live coverage of the “Selección Mexicana” soccer match between Mexico and Iceland drew in 2.3 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.2 million Adults 18-49, 589,000 Adults 18-34, and positioned the Network as No. 2 ahead of ABC, NBC, FOX and CW for the entire night with the Adult 18-34 demographic. The sports event was also the third and fourth most-watched program on all of broadcast television among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, respectively.

The sixth annual fundraising special “TeletonUSA” reached 10.8 million Total Viewers 2+, who tuned-in to all or part of the 22.5-hour broadcast on the Univision Network from Friday March 23 through Saturday March 24, 2018.

Sunday night’s two-hour airing of “Pequeños Gigantes” on Univision, delivered 2.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 855,000 Adults 18-49, and finished within the top 10 most-watched programs on broadcast television with more Adult 18-34 (419,000) viewers than NBC’s first-run episodes of “Little Big Shots,” “Genius Junior” and “Timeless.”

Univision’s “Crónicas” achieved its highest-rated telecast in the current 2017/2018 season this past Sunday, with strong week-to-week audience gains among Adults 18-34 (+37% to 326,000) as well as second-highest among both Adults 18-49 (+16% to 735,000) and Total Viewers 2+ (+16% to 1.7 million).
