UniMás’ New Adventure Reality Competition, “Reto 4 Elementos: Naturaleza Extrema,” Increased the Time-Period Average by Double-Digit Margins

Continues to Deliver Season-Over-Season Audience Growth in Primetime Among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34

UniMás Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of March 19, 2018 to March 25, 2018

UniMás new adventure reality competition, “Reto 4 Elementos: Naturaleza Extrema” – which features 32 entertainment and sports personalities battling it out to master the elements: air, earth, fire and water – premiered last week in the Monday to Thursday 10pm-12am block.

  • In its premiere week, “Reto 4 Elementos: Naturaleza Extrema” increased the time-period average by double-digit margins versus prior four-week performance as it drew in 345,000 Total Viewers 2+ (+47%), 164,000 Adults 18-49 (+46%) and 54,000 Adults 18-34 (+10%).

Last week, UniMás averaged 682,000 Total Viewers 2+, 286,000 Adults 18-49 and 113,000 Adults 18-34 during primetime.

UniMás out-delivered Telemundo by double-digit audience advantages on Saturday night among Total Viewers 2+ (+14% adv.; 651,000 vs. 570,000) and Adults 18-49 (+35% adv.; 303,000 vs. 224,000). The network’s feature film lineup on this night, which included the 2012 film “For Greater Glory: The True Story of Cristiada” starring Andy Garcia, attracted 18% more Total Viewers and 8% more Adults 18-49 to the Saturday 8pm-11pm block week-to-week.

Week-to-week, UniMás’ weeknight 8pm series, “La Niña,” reported more Total Viewers 2+ (+14% to 550,000) and Adults 18-49 (+6% to 214,000) while averaging 86,000 Adults 18-34.

“La Tierra Prometida,” airing Monday to Friday from 9pm to 10pm, attracted more Total Viewers 2+ (+3% to 1.3 million), Adults 18-49 (+3% to 497,000) and Adults 18-34 (+10% to 200,000) over the previous week performance in addition to doubling the network’s time-period average versus the comparable week in 2017.

Last week also marked the fourth consecutive week that UniMás ranked as the No. 2 Spanish-language network in the weeknight 9pm hour with “La Tierra Prometida,” outperforming Telemundo’s “Al Otro Lado del Muro” among Total Viewers 2+ (+5%).

UniMás out-delivered CW by double-digit margins during the Monday to Friday 9pm hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+64% adv.; 1.3 million vs. 802,000), Adults 18-49 (+48% adv.; 497,000 vs. 336,000) and Adults 18-34 (+35% adv.; 200,000 vs. 148,000).

UniMás averaged two to three times more Total Viewers 2+ (+193% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+240% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+119% adv.) than the combined audience of Azteca and Estrella TV during primetime.

In the current 2017/2018 Season, UniMás is delivering more Total Viewers 2+ (+15% to 738,000), Adults 18-49 (+3% to 320,000) and Adults 18-34 (+3% to 127,000) in primetime versus comparable weeks during the 2016/2017 season.
