Univision Ranks as Top-Five Network for The Week, Beats FOX by Double-Digit Margins Among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34

For the 15th Straight Week, Univision is No. 1 Spanish-language Network

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of February 12, 2018 to February 18, 2018

Univision was the No. 4 network among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, beating FOX in both demographics for the entire week. Univision outperformed FOX by double-digit margins with a +14% advantage with Adults 18-49 and +35% with Adults 18-34.

This past week Univision held the No. 1 Spanish-language network position, outperforming its closest competitor with Total Viewers 2+ (+22%), Adults 18-49 (+9%) and Adults 18-34 (+17%).

  • This marked the 15th consecutive week out-delivering its closest competitor among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49 as well as the 14th consecutive week with Adults 18-34.
  • In the current 2017-18 season-to-date, Univision reigns No. 1, beating its closest Spanish-language competitor with Total Viewers 2+ (+20%), Adults 18-49 (+7%), and Adults 18-34 (+7%).

Univision was the No. 4 Broadcast network overall, beating FOX among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 the weeknight 8pm and 9pm hours.

  • Univision was the No. 4 network overall, beating FOX by double-digit margins with both Adults 18-49 (+32%) and Adults 18-34 (+55%).
    • The 8pm epic drama “El Rico y Lázaro” sustained its rank as the No. 1 Spanish-language program in its hour among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. “El Rico y Lázaro” helped Univision nearly double the Adults 18-34 (+98%) audience of its closest Spanish-language competitor in the hour and out-deliver by double-digit margins with Adults 18-49 (+62%) and Total Viewers 2+ (+79%).
    • “El Rico y Lázaro” grew its week-to-week audience among Adults 18-49 (+1% to 723,000) and attracted 1.8 million Total Viewers 2+ and 298,000 Adults 18-34.
  • In the 9pm hour Univision held its No. 4 position over FOX among Adults 18-49 (+30%) and Adults 18-34 (+72%).
    • Univision’s 9pm series “Papá a Toda Madre” secured Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-language network in the hour, outperforming its closest Spanish-language competitor with Total Viewers 2+ (+31%), Adults 18-49 (+24%) and Adults 18-34 (+45%).

Univision was the No. 3 network among Adults 18-34 on Friday night, beating FOX by +93% and ABC +1%.  This marks the fourth consecutive Friday that Univision beat ABC with Adults 18-34.

On Saturday night Univision ranked No. 2 with Adults 18-49 and No. 3 among Adults 18-34. Univision beat FOX (+39%), CBS (+19%) and ABC (+4%) among Adults 18-49.  Among Adults 18-34, Univision posted double and triple digit advantages over FOX (+24%), ABC (+59%) and CBS (+101%).

  • Airing “Sábado Futbolero,” Univision’s entire prime lineup ranked among the top 10 most watched programs of the night with Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.
