Univision Network will Celebrate Musical Legends and Chart Toppers during the 30th Edition of “Premio Lo Nuestro a la Música Latina”
Olga Tañon, Romeo Santos, Maluma, Bad Bunny, Ozuna, and Victoria “La Mala” are the first artists confirmed for the epic musical celebration

MIAMI, FL – JANUARY 23, 2018 – Univision Network will celebrate musical legends and the chart toppers of today when the 30th edition of “Premio Lo Nuestro a la Música Latina” (PLN) airs live from Miami’s American Airlines Arena on Thursday, February 22. PLN, Spanish-language television’s first-ever entertainment awards and Univision’s longest running show, will pay tribute to Latino music legends and shine a spotlight on the voices of today and tomorrow in a star-studded gala, starting with a carpet pre-show at 7 p.m. ET/PT (6 p.m. CT).
This year’s 30th edition will be different from prior years where artists were nominated and awarded on Latin music’s biggest night. Instead, #PLN30 will recognize and celebrate, not nominate, the greatest Latin artists of all time. The gala will re-imagine historical moments and relive Latino music’s legacy in the context of today’s cutting-edge sounds. The show will take a modern view of Latin music across three decades and spotlight today’s new generation of talent making history in new genres and formats.
Prominent artists have already confirmed to be part of this epic musical celebration filled with nostalgia, tradition, cultural icons and the voices of legends in the making.
Popular merengue artist Olga Tañon, who with 30 statuettes is the artist with the most PLN awards, will take the stage where color and rhythm will dominate; Romeo Santos, the King of Bachata, recipient of PLN’s 2017 Excellence Award, will again grace our audiences with his commanding voice and romantic lyrics.
Chart topping artists are also confirmed to bring the unstoppable sounds of today to the stage: mega artist Maluma, and two rising young artists of the genre who will step on the PLN stage for the first time, Bad Bunny and Ozuna. Plus, banda up-and-comer Victoria “La Mala,” will also make her first music appearance at PLN in a surprise performance that will see capture and delight viewers and attendees.
“The 30th edition of ‘Premio Lo Nuestro a la Musica Latina’ will be a musical journey along the evolution of ‘lo nuestro’ and the role our music has had over the last 30 years,” said Jorge ‘Pepo’ Ferradas, Univision president of Music. “PLN will be a night to celebrate the music of the past, the present and the future.”

MIAMI, FL – 23 DE ENERO DE 2018 – La Cadena Univision celebrará los aportes de leyendas de la música latina y éxitos de la actualidad cuando la 30a edición del “Premio Lo Nuestro a la Música Latina” (PLN) se trasmita en vivo el jueves, 22 de febrero desde el American Airlines Arena en Miami. PLN, el primer programa de premios de entretenimiento de la televisión en español y el show de más larga trayectoria de Univision, rendirá homenaje a las leyendas de la música latina y destacará las voces de hoy y mañana en un especial estelar, que comenzará con el programa de antesala desde la alfombra a las 7 p.m. Este/Pacífico (6 p.m. Centro).
La 30a edición, en este año, será diferente a las de años pasados, en las que los artistas fueron nominados y seleccionados ganadores durante la noche más importante de la música latina. En vez, #PLN30 otorgará reconocimiento y aplaudirá, sin nominaciones, a los más grandes artistas latinos de todos los tiempos. Durante la gala, se recrearán momentos históricos y se revivirá nuestro legado musical latino con el sonido de vanguardia de la actualidad. Será un vistazo moderno a la evolución de la música latina durante tres décadas y destacará la nueva generación de artistas actuales, que hacen historia en nuevos géneros y formatos.
Varios prominentes artistas ya han confirmado que serán parte de esta noche histórica, llena de nostalgia, tradición, ídolos culturales y voces de leyendas en marcha.
La popular artista de merengue Olga Tañón, quien con 30 premios es la artista más galardonada de PLN, se presentará en un escenario en el que predominará el color y el ritmo; Romeo Santos, el Rey de la Bachata y ganador del Premio a la Excelencia de PLN en 2017, volverá a deleitar a la audiencia con su imponente voz y canciones románticas.
Artistas con alta posición en las listas de música, también han confirmado que llevarán los sonidos imparables de hoy al escenario: el mega artista Maluma, y dos jóvenes promesas del género, quienes por primera vez pondrán pie en el escenario de PLN, Bad Bunny y Ozuna. Además, la estrella ascendente de la música de banda Victoria “La Mala” estará en una presentación sorpresa en PLN, por primera vez, para cautivar y deleitar a los televidentes y asistentes.
