Univision Grew its Weeknight Prime Audience in Every Hour as “Rey David’s” Reign as the No. 1 Spanish-Language Program at 8 p.m. Continued, Doubling the Competition’s Viewers in Key Demos

Univision kicked off the New Year as the No. 1 Spanish-language network, with double-digit advantages over its closest competitor among Total Viewers 2+ (+30%), Adults 18-49 (+19%) and Adults 18-34 (+19%).

  • In the current 2017-2018 Season-to-date Univision also reigns No. 1, beating its closest Spanish-language competitor with Total Viewers 2+ (+18% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+5% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+4% adv.).
  • This marked the ninth consecutive week out-delivering its closest competitor among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49 as well as the eighth consecutive week with Adults 18-34.

Univision was also the fifth largest broadcast network overall with Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 in both this past week and the current 17-18 Season-to-date.

Univision captured the No. 1 Spanish-language network ranking in the weeknight 8pm and 9pm hour, growing its week-to-week audience and surpassing its closest competitor by double-digit margins.

  • “Rey David” positioned Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-language network among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 at 8pm. In fact, “Rey David” delivered more than double the Total Viewers 2+ (+113%) and Adults 18-34 (+122%) of its closest Spanish-language competitor and posted a substantial advantage competitor with Adults 18-49 (+89%).
    • “Rey David” grew its audience week-to-week by double-digit margins with Total Viewers 2+ (+17% to 2.2 million), Adults 18-49 (+15% to 883,000) and Adults 18-34 (+25% to 382,000).
  • In the 9pm hour Univision outperformed its closest Spanish-language competitor, ranking No. 1 with Total Viewers 2+ (+73%), Adults 18-49 (+65%) and Adults 18-34 (+70%).
    • The 9pm dramedy “Mi Marido Tiene Familia” (My Husband Has a Family) also reported double-digit audience growth with Total Viewers 2+ (+11% to 1.9 million), Adults 18-49 (+14% to 816,000) and Adults 18-34 (+19% to 382,000) over its prior week average.

Airing “Caer en Tentación” (Into Temptation) in the weeknight 10pm hour, Univision averaged more Total Viewers 2+ (+7% to 1.3 million), Adults 18-49 (+10% to 593,000) and Adults 18-34 (+15% to 266,000) compared to the previous week.
